윤석열 대통령이 5일 대한불교천태종 제2사찰 부산 삼광사를 방문해 '국민 화합·행복'을 기원했다고 대통령실이 전했다.
김수경 대통령실 대변인은 이날 서면브리핑에서 "윤 대통령은 오늘 오후 부산진구에 있는 삼광사를 방문했다"며 "천태종 사찰 방문은 대선후보 시절 구인사 포함 삼광사까지 네번째"라고 전했다.
윤 대통령은 삼광사에서 주지 영제스님 등 사찰 관계자·신도들과 인사를 나눈 후 대조사전에 참배하며 국민 화합·행복을 기원하고 대웅전으로 이동해 석가모니상에 재차 참배한데 이어 법화당에서 영제스님 등 관계자들과 차담을 나눴다.
이 자리에서 영제스님은 "나라가 있어야 종교도 있다는 믿음으로 종단 차원서 대통령님을 위해 열심히 기도하고 있다"고 하자 윤 대통령은 "고맙습니다. 기대에 어긋나지 않도록 잘 하겠다"고 답했다.
