한 여성 월간잡지 4월호는 “지난해 신도 성폭행 혐의로 세간을 떠들썩하게 했던 기독교복음선교회(세칭JMS) 정명석 목사 사건(1심 23년 중형선고)과 과거에 수 십억원이라는 거액의 합의금을 요구했다가 거절하자 거짓 고소 사건을 일으키고, 이번 사건에도 피해자라는 고소인들을 앞세워 고소를 주도한 것”으로 알려진, 배후인물에 관해, 그가 안고 있는 문제점-위법혐의를 보도 했다. 이 배후 인물은 고발인에 의해 변호사법 위반혐의(변호사법 제109조 위반 혐의)로 고발됐고, 수사 중이라고 한다.
필자는 이미 기독교복음선교회(세칭JMS) 정명석 목사 사건과 관련, 문제가 어디에 있는지를 지적한 바 있다. “나는 정명석을 만나러 간다”는 저자인 필자(문일석 작가/브레이크뉴스 발행인)는 이 책의 “무시무시한 기사 'JMS(정명석)가 여성 1만명과 성관계?'”라는 소제목의 글(42쪽-49쪽)에서 이 문제점을 짚었다. 이 사건의 배후에 있는 인물이 안고 있는 문제가 무엇인지를 지적했었다. 이 부분의 글을 길게 인용한다.
[인용 시작]“원숭이가 자생(自生)하는 정글지역에서 원숭이를 생포하는 방법이 있다. 원숭이 손이 겨우 들어갈 만한 작은 구멍을 만든 뒤 나무에 붙들어 매고, 그 속에 바나나 같은 먹을 것을 넣어 두면 된다. 아주 쉬운 방법이다. 그게 덫(트랩=trap)이다. 정글에서만 살아온 원숭이는 두 손으로 음식을 채취한다. 먹 거리를 채취하지 못하면 굶어 죽게 된다. 그러하니 손으로 움켜쥔 음식물을 놓아 버릴 수가 없다. 원숭이 보다 몇 배 머리 좋은 사람들이 원숭이를 생포하기 위해 원숭이의 습성을 이용하는 것이다. 아주 쉬운 덫(트랩=trap)에 걸린 원숭이는 손을 빼지 못한 채 생포되어 수난으로 휩싸인다.
이와 비슷한 덫(트랩=trap)이 “정명석을 덮치고 있구나”라는 생각이 스쳐 갔다. 사람이나 원숭이나 덫(트랩=trap)이란, 무서운 존재다. 한번 걸려들면, 빠져나오기가 쉽지 않다. 전쟁터에서 적이 파 놓은 함정에 빠지는 것과 비슷하다.
지난 2023년 3월 한 매체는 JMS를 반대하는 단체의 활동가인 A씨와의 인터뷰 내용을 기사화했다. 이 기사는 “JMS(정명석)가 여성 1만명과 성관계...목표를 초과 달성했다“라는 내용을 기사화 했다. 제목으로 봐서 무시무시한 기사 였다.
정부로부터 상당액의 운영자금을 받는 이 통신사는, 정명석 목사가 설교 때 '성적구원=하늘 애인 1만명 만들기가 목표라는 말을 했다'면서 “JMS(정명석)가 여성 1만명과 성관계...목표를 초과 달성“는 내용이었다. ”1만 명과 성 폭행“에 대해, 그 근거를 대지 않고, 정명석 목사가 설교 때 주장했다는 설교 중의 말을, 이에 대입(代入)시키고 있었다.
정명석 목사가 기독교의 경전인 성경을 해석하는 과정에서 '하늘 애인 1만명'을 언급 했는데, 이를 '성 폭행'으로 번역한 듯하다. 일반적으로 외서(外書)를 번역할 때는 오역(誤譯)이 있을 수 있다. 정명석 목사가 1만명 성 폭행을 초과달성했다는 주장은 정명석 목사의 설교를 이해하는 과정에서 오역적(誤譯的)인 범주에 드는 내용으로 보인다.
왜냐? 만약, 정명석 목사가 “1만명 이상의 여성을 성 폭행 했다”고 하면, 수사-재판 과정에서 피해 여성의 명단(리스트)이 나와야 하는 게 옳다. 성 폭행 1만명이라는 숫자는, 단지 피해자 모임의 한 간부 입에서 나온 말에만 의존되는 숫자이며, 이 숫자가 조사의 과정이 없이 공론화 됐다. 이 숫자는 피해자가 누구인지의 증거가 없이, 한 반대자의 입에서 나온, 공중에 떠 있는 숫자에 불과하다. 언론 역시 자체 조사의 숫자 보도가 아닌, 허황(虛荒), 그 자체라 할 수 있다. 이런 류(類)의 기사를 취급한 국내의 매체는 30여개를 넘어섰다.
이게 과연 가능할까? 깊이 들어가지 않고 상식적으로 생각해도 불가능하다. 세상의 일이란, 대부분 상식 수준에서 돌아간다. 가능하지 않다는 생각이었다. 그리 될 수 없다는 판단이었다.
필자는 브레이크뉴스 2023년 4월22일 자 “JMS 정명석 목사와 관련된 과장-허황된 보도내용의 실체...“진실은 따로 있다?” 제목의 기사에서 반론을 폈다. 대한민국, 한 개인이 1만명을 성 폭행할 정도로 어수룩한 나라가 결코 아니다는 논조였다. 인용한다.
<<최근 기독교복음선교회 정명석 목사(총재)에 관한 일탈(逸脫) 기사가 보도 되었고, 이에 대한 반론 기사들도 연이어 제작-보도 되고 있다. 특히 성직자인 JMS 정명석 목사의 이성(異姓)접촉에 대해 “과연 사실일까? 조작된 것일까?”라는 의혹이, 따라 붙는다.
우선 성적인 비리를 저질렀다는, 이성 접촉의 숫자 문제이다. 그간 몇 언론사들의 JMS 정명석 목사 관련 보도문에는 “1만 명 이상이 성 폭행을 당했다”고 주장되어지고 있다. “1만 명 이상이 성 폭행을 당했다”는 주장은 이미 전 세계 언론들이 보도, 사실인 것처럼 인지, 보도해온 사안이다.
그런데 언론의 논쟁(論爭) 보도 기사 중에는 보도문에 적시(摘示)돼 있는 내용이 모두 사실(事實)이냐, 또는 그 보도문이 진실(眞實)이냐는 의혹이 항상 따라 붙게 돼 있다. 기사를 제보한 측의 주장 속에는 사실이 증명되지 않는, 거친 주장도 게재-내재되기 때문이다. 그래서 기사 속의 사실이 모두 진실이지 않다는 결론에 다다른다. JMS 정명석 목사 관련 보도도 모두 사실처럼 오인(誤認)되지만, 100% 진실이 아닌 내용도 엿보인다. JMS 정명석 목사에 의해 “1만 명 이상이 성 폭행을 당했다”는 부분은 진실이 아닌 허위일 가능성이 높다. 기사로 작성되는 과정에서 사실이 밝혀지지 않은 내용을 한 개인의 주장(主張)으로 포장해서 보도했기 때문이다.
나는 이 문제에 대해 상식적으로 생각, 개인 의견을 공론화해 본다. JMS 정명석 목사 관련보도도 모두 사실처럼 포장되어 있지만, 그게 진실이 아닐 것이다. JMS 정명석 목사에 의해 “1만 명 이상이 성 폭행을 당했다”는 어구는, “JMS 정명석 목사가 1만 명 이상을 성 폭행 했다”는 말과 상통한다. 그러나 이 부분은 사실처럼 보이나 100% 진실이 아니라는 게 바로 '진실된 사실'이다.
왜냐? 모든 기사의 취재-작성은 상식에서 출발한다. “1만 명 이상을 성 폭행”했다고? 정명석 목사, 그도 인간이다. 그는 결코 인간을 좌지우지 할 수 있다고 믿는 신이 아니다. 그저 인간일 뿐이다. 그런데 인간일 뿐인 그가 어떻게? 그렇게? 기사 내용에서 주장되어지는 “1만 명 이상의 성 폭행” 주장(내용)은 기사 속에서 사실처럼 적시(摘示) 되었을지라도, 100% 진실(眞實)이 아니다. 허구(虛構)라는 이야기이다.
필자가 인지하기로는, 기독교복음선교회의 공인(국가기관 파악)된 전체의 신도 수는 많지 않은 수이다. 그게 아니라면, 그가 자신의 종교기관인 기독교복음선교회 내의 신도가 아니고, 일반 사회 사람들을 성 폭행 해왔다는 말인가? 그리고 그가 사람이기에 “1만 명 이상의 성 폭행”은 전혀 사실 일 수는 없다. 그래서, 그런 주장은 가짜에 속한다.
JMS 정명석 목사는 그간 감옥을 들락거렸다. 그 많은 사람을 성 폭행 했다하면, 감옥 안에서도 최소한 1천 여 명 이상을 성 폭행 했어야 만이 합당하고 옳은 숫자이다. 그런데 감옥 내부는 이성을 성 폭행할 수 있기에는 불가능한 시설이다.
미국 언론의 경우, 성 폭행 사건을 보도할 때 폭행자와 피폭행자의 신분을 공개하도록 돼 있다. 정확하게 사건의 행태를 보도한다. 미국식으로 말한다면, “정명석 총재가 1만명을 성 폭행 했다”하면, 수사 단계에서 1만명의 성 폭행 피해자 명단, 일시, 장소 등의 ‘피해자 리스트’가 작성되어 그 명단이 재판부에 넘어가야 한다. 그런데 정명석 목사가 성 폭행을 했다는 사건에서 지금까지 피해자 이름이 확실하게 나오지 않는 것은 무엇을 의미하는가? 이 사건이 올바른 사건이라면, 정명석 목사에게 성 폭행을 당했다는 1만명의 명단이 공개돼야 한다.
이에 대해 기독교복음선교회측은 2023년 4월22일자 보도자료에서 “아무리 거대 언론이라 할지라도 국민을 기만하는 조작된 보도는 들통 나게 마련이다. 1999년, 2002년 보도로 인해 A언론사는 이미 선교회 측에 손해배상을 한 사실이 있다. B 언론사의 보도는 소송중인데 재판기피신청을 해놓았다. 보도문을 제작하면서는 선교회 교회에 무단으로 침입해 불법 촬영을 했다.”고 지적했다.
그간 비리제보에 앞장섰던 한 이탈자에 관해서는 “그가 정명석 목사에게 돈을 요구한 녹취록 등 다수의 증거물을 갖고 있다. 1만 명 이상이 성 폭행을 당했다고 주장하지만 지금까지 DNA 추출 등 실체적 증거를 제시한 사람은 한 명도 없다”고 밝혔다. 이어 “2009년 정명석 목사의 10년형 판결에서도 피해여성들이 피해를 당했다는 증거물은 없었고, 피해여성 중 1명이 거짓 고소했다는 양심선언을 한 바 있다”고 강조하고 “이번에도 피해여성들이 진술한 피해시간에 정명석 목사는 다른 일을 하고 있는 영상이 확인됐다. 여성 중 한 명이 제출한 녹취 파일도 원본이 아닌 사본으로서 ‘이제까지 보지 못한 파일 구조다. 고소인이 사용한 아이폰에서 수집한 대조파일과 파일 구조가 상이하다.’는 국립과학수사연구원의 분석이 나왔다.”고, 피력했다.

JMS 정명석 목사 관련 보도는 사실과 진실에서 이만큼 큰 차이가 있음이, 발견된다. “JMS 정명석 목사가 1만 명 이상이 성 폭행 했다”는, 일부 언론의 보도 내용은 이미 전 세계로 타전됐다. 이 내용은 허구인데, 사실처럼 알려져 있다. 대한민국은 세계에 내로라하는 민주주의 국가이다. 한 개인이 1만명을 성 폭행할 정도로 어수룩한 나라가 결코 아니다.
이후, 기독교복음선교회측은 자신의 교단 창설자인 정명석 총목사와 관련된, 진실하지 않은 허구의 내용을 교정하는데, 교단의 힘을 집중할 것으로 예상된다. 이 사건과 관련된 진실은 언젠가 명명백백 드러날 것이다. 이래야, JMS 정명석 목사 때문에 세계에 이상한 나라로 알려진 대한민국의 이미지도 깨끗하게 세탁될 수 있을 것이다.
르포작가인 필자는 지난 2010년 5월17일자 브레이크뉴스에 “정명석 목사의 자연 성전 '감동스런 성전’” 제목의 르포기사를 게재했었다. 기독교복음선교회 본부가 있는 충남 금산군 진산면 '자연성전'을 현지르포로 취재한 기사였다.
이 기사에서 “지난 5월15일은 스승의 날, 기독교복음선교회는 이 날을 맞아 충남 금산군 진산면 석막리 월명동 자연성전에서 스승의 날 감사축제 행사를 가졌다. 이 교단의 성도들에게 있어 스승이란 ‘죽음보다 더한 사랑으로 우리를 구원하신 예수’와 ‘세상의 욕심에 눈이 멀었던 우리를 예수님의 사랑으로 인도해주신 선생님(정명석)’을 의미한다. 금산군 진산면 석막리 월명동은 정명석 목사의 탄생지. 이곳에 기독교복음선교회라는 교단의 세계선교본부가 있다. 그리고 일반 기독교회에서 보기 힘든 잘 단장된, 47만여 평에 달하는 규모의 야외 성전이 있다.”고 쓴 바 있다.>>[인용 끝]
기독교복음선교회(세칭JMS) 정명석 목사 사건의 2심 재판은 현재 대전지원이 맡아서 재판 중이다. 이 사건의 2심재판부는 이 사건의 배후 인물들이 “정명석 목사가 1만 명 이상을 성 폭행 했다”고 주장하지만, 지금까지 “DNA 추출 등 실체적 증거를 제시한 사람은 한 명도 없음”에 유의해야 한다. moonilsuk@naver.com

The April issue of a women's monthly magazine said, "The case of Pastor Jeong Myeong-seok of the Christian Gospel Mission (JMS), who made a stir last year on charges of sexual assault of a believer (he was sentenced to 23 years in prison in the first trial), and in the past asked for a large settlement amounting to billions of won, but was rejected. Regarding the person behind the story, who is known to have “created a false accusation incident and led the complaint in this case as well, with accusers claiming to be victims,” we reported on the problem he faces - the alleged violation of the law. The person behind this was accused by the accuser of violating the Attorney-at-Law Act (violation of Article 109 of the Attorney-at-Law Act), and is said to be under investigation.
The author has already pointed out where the problem lies in the case of Pastor Jeong Myeong-seok of the Christian Gospel Mission (JMS). The author of “I am going to meet Jeong Myeong-seok” (Writer Il-seok Moon/publisher of Break News) wrote an article in this book with the subtitle “The scary article ‘JMS (Jeong Myeong-seok) had sexual relations with 10,000 women?’” (pages 42-49). page) pointed out this problem. She had pointed out what the problem was with the person behind this incident. I quote this part of the article at length.
[Start quote] “There is a way to capture monkeys alive in the jungle areas where monkeys grow naturally. All you have to do is make a small hole that can barely fit the monkey's hand, tie it to a tree, and put something edible, such as a banana, in it. It's a very easy way. That is a trap (trap=trap). Monkeys that live only in the jungle gather food with both hands. If you cannot gather food, you will starve to death. That's why I can't let go of the food I'm grabbing with my hands. People who are several times smarter than monkeys use monkeys' habits to capture monkeys alive. A monkey caught in a very easy trap (trap = trap) is captured alive without being able to free its hand and is engulfed in hardship.
A similar thought crossed my mind, “A trap is attacking Jeong Myeong-seok.” Whether for humans or monkeys, a trap is a scary thing. Once you get caught, it's not easy to get out. It is similar to falling into a trap set by the enemy on the battlefield.
In March 2023, a media outlet published an interview with Mr. A, an activist from a group opposing JMS. This article stated, “JMS (Jeong Myung-seok) had sexual relations with 10,000 women... exceeded his goal.” Judging by the title, it was a scary article.
This news agency, which receives a significant amount of operating funds from the government, said that Pastor Myung-seok Jeong said during his sermon that his goal was to make 10,000 sexual salvation = heavenly lovers. The content was “overachievement.” Regarding “10,000 people and sexual assault”, without providing any basis for it, the words in the sermon that Pastor Myeongseok Jeong claimed during his sermon were substituted into this.
In the process of interpreting the Bible, the Christian scripture, Pastor Jeong Myeong-seok mentioned '10,000 heavenly lovers', and this appears to have been translated as 'sexual assault'. In general, when translating foreign books, there may be mistranslations. The claim that Pastor Myung-Seok Jeong has sexually assaulted more than 10,000 people appears to fall into the category of mistranslation in the process of understanding Pastor Myung-Seok Jeong's sermons.
because? If Pastor Jung Myeong-seok is said to have “sexually assaulted more than 10,000 women,” it is right that a list of victims should be released during the investigation and trial process. The number of 10,000 victims of sexual assault is a number based solely on the words of an executive at a victims' group, and this number was made public without any investigation. This number is just a number floating in the air, coming from the mouth of an opponent, without any evidence of who the victims are. The media can also be said to be illusory rather than just reporting numbers from its own investigation. The number of domestic media outlets that covered this type of article exceeded 30.
Is this really possible? Even if you don't go into depth and think about it with common sense, it's impossible. Most things in the world work at the level of common sense. I thought it wasn't possible. The judgment was that it couldn't be done that way.
The author wrote in Break News, April 22, 2023, “Exaggeration related to Pastor Myung-Seok Jeong of JMS - the reality of the false report... “Is there a separate truth?” A counterargument was made in the article titled: The argument was that Korea is by no means a country so dishonest that one individual sexually assaults 10,000 people. Quote.
<<Recently, a deviant article was reported about Pastor Myeong-seok Jeong (president) of the Christian Gospel Mission, and articles refuting it were also being produced and reported one after another. In particular, regarding the clergyman Pastor Jeong Myeong-seok of JMS who had contact with someone of the opposite sex, “Is this really true? The suspicion of “Is it fabricated?” follows.
First of all, it is an issue of the number of opposite-sex encounters that result in sexual misconduct. In the meantime, reports on JMS Pastor Myung-seok Jeong from several media outlets claim that “more than 10,000 people were sexually assaulted.” The claim that “more than 10,000 people were sexually assaulted” is something that media outlets around the world have already reported, recognized as fact, and reported it.
However, among the media's controversial reports, there is always doubt about whether all the content stated in the report is true or whether the report is the truth. All reports related to JMS Pastor Jeong Myeong-seok are misinterpreted as fact, but there are also glimpses of content that is not 100% true. The part that “more than 10,000 people were sexually assaulted” by JMS Pastor Myung-Seok Jeong is highly likely to be false and not true. This is because in the process of writing the article, information that was not revealed as fact was packaged as an individual's claim and reported.
I will think about this issue with common sense and make my personal opinions public. All reports related to Pastor Myung-Seok Jeong of JMS are packaged as facts, but that may not be the truth. The phrase, “More than 10,000 people were sexually assaulted by JMS Pastor Myung-seok Jeong” is similar to the phrase, “Pastor Myung-seok Jeong of JMS sexually assaulted more than 10,000 people.” However, although this part appears to be true, it is not 100% true, which is the ‘true fact’.
because? The reporting and writing of all articles starts from common sense. “Sexually assaulted more than 10,000 people”? Pastor Jung Myeong-seok, he is also human. He is by no means a god who believes he can control humans. He's just human. But how can he, who is only human? like that? The claim (content) of “more than 10,000 sexual assaults” claimed in the article is not 100% true, even though it is stated as fact in the article. It is a story called fiction.
As far as I am aware, the total number of believers recognized by the Christian Gospel Mission (as identified by a national organization) is not large. If not, does this mean that he is not a member of his religious organization, the Christian Gospel Mission, and has been sexually assaulting people in the general society? And since he is a human being, “more than 10,000 sexual assaults” cannot be true at all. So, such claims are bogus.
JMS Pastor Jeong Myeong-seok has been in and out of prison. If he sexually assaulted that many people, he must have sexually assaulted at least 1,000 people while in prison, which is a reasonable and correct number. However, inside the prison, it is an impossible facility to sexually assault members of the opposite sex.
In the case of American media, when reporting on sexual assault cases, the identities of the assaulter and the assaulted person are required to be disclosed. Accurately report the events of the incident. In American terms, if “President Jung Myung-seok sexually assaulted 10,000 people,” a ‘victim list’ of 10,000 victims of sexual assault, including the date, time, and location, should be created during the investigation stage and the list should be handed over to the court. But what does it mean that the name of the victim has not yet been clearly revealed in the case of sexual assault by Pastor Myung-Seok Jeong? If this incident is correct, the list of 10,000 people who said they were sexually assaulted by Pastor Jung Myung-seok should be made public.
Regarding this, the Christian Gospel Mission said in a press release dated April 22, 2023, “No matter how large the media is, fabricated reports that deceive the public are bound to be discovered. Media company A has already paid damages to the missionary group due to reports in 1999 and 2002. Media B's report is being sued and has filed a motion to avoid trial. “While producing the press release, he broke into the missionary church without permission and took illegal photos,” he pointed out.
Regarding a defector who has been at the forefront of reporting corruption, “I have a lot of evidence, including a recording of him asking for money from Pastor Jung Myeong-seok. “More than 10,000 people claim to have been sexually assaulted, but so far, no one has presented substantive evidence, such as DNA extraction,” he said. He then emphasized, “Even in the 10-year sentence sentenced to 10 years in prison for Pastor Jung Myeong-seok in 2009, there was no evidence that the victims had been harmed, and one of the victims made a declaration of conscience that she had made false accusations.” He added, “This time, too, the time of harm stated by the victims was A video of Pastor Jung Myeong-seok was confirmed to be doing something else. The recording file submitted by one of the women is also a copy, not an original, and is a ‘file structure I have never seen before. “The National Institute of Forensic Science analyzed that the file structure is different from the comparison file collected from the iPhone used by the complainant,” he expressed.
It has been discovered that there is such a big difference between the facts and the truth in the reports regarding JMS Pastor Myung-seok Jeong. Some media reports that “Pastor Jeong Myeong-seok of JMS sexually assaulted more than 10,000 people” have already been transmitted around the world. This information is fiction, but it is known as fact. The Republic of Korea is one of the best democratic countries in the world. This is by no means a country so dishonest that one individual sexually assaults 10,000 people.
Afterwards, the Christian Gospel Mission is expected to focus its efforts on correcting untrue and fictitious content related to its founder, Pastor Myung-seok Jeong. The truth about this incident will one day be clearly revealed. Only in this way will the image of the Republic of Korea, known to the world as a strange country because of Pastor Myeongseok Jeong of JMS, be cleansed.
As a reportage writer, I published a reportage article titled “Pastor Myeongseok Jeong’s natural temple ‘Impressive Temple’” on Break News on May 17, 2010. It was an article that covered the 'Natural Temple' in Jinsan-myeon, Geumsan-gun, Chungcheongnam-do, where the headquarters of the Christian Gospel Mission is located.
In this article, “Last May 15th was Teacher’s Day, and to celebrate this day, the Christian Gospel Mission held a Teacher’s Day Thanksgiving Festival at the Natural Temple in Wolmyeong-dong, Seokmak-ri, Jinsan-myeon, Geumsan-gun, Chungcheongnam-do. For the believers of this denomination, a teacher means ‘Jesus, who saved us with a love greater than death’ and ‘a teacher (Jeong Myeong-seok) who guided us, who were blinded by the world’s greed, to the love of Jesus.’ Wolmyeong-dong, Seokmak-ri, Jinsan-myeon, Geumsan-gun, is the birthplace of Pastor Jeong Myeong-seok. The world mission headquarters of the Christian Gospel Mission is located here. He also wrote, “There is a well-maintained outdoor temple measuring 470,000 pyeong that is difficult to find in ordinary Christian churches.”>>[End of quote]
The second trial of the case of Pastor Jeong Myeong-seok of the Christian Gospel Mission (JMS) is currently being handled by the Daejeon Branch.
