브레이크뉴스 문홍철 기자= 카카오뱅크가 금융권 최초로 ‘사업자 인증서’ 발급 서비스를 출시한다.
사업자 인증서는 사업자 대표자의 신원 확인을 통해 사업자 명의로 발급하는 인증서다. 전자세금계산서 발급이나 전자입찰, 금융거래 등 개인사업자가 필요로 하는 다양한 전자거래에 사용된다.
지난해 12월 카카오뱅크는 한국인터넷진흥원(KISA)로부터 사업자 인증서 출시를 위한 전자서명인증평가를 획득해 서비스의 안정성과 신뢰성을 인정받았다. 해당 기술력을 바탕으로 발급 및 이용 편의성을 대폭 개선한 사업자 인증 서비스를 개발했다.
기존의 사업자 인증서를 발급받기 위해서는 사업자등록증, 신청서 등 서류를 대면으로 직접 제출하거나 별도로 첨부해서 제출해야 했지만, 카카오뱅크는 별도의 서류 제출 없이 편리하게 사업자 인증서를 신청하고 발급받을 수 있도록 서비스를 구현했다.
인증 시에도 인증서 내보내기와 같은 복잡한 절차 없이 카카오뱅크 모바일 앱 하나로 간편하게 인증이 가능하도록 해 기존의 번거로움과 불편함을 해소했다. 특히, 인증서를 카카오뱅크 모바일 앱 내 안전 영역에 암호화해 저장함으로써 안전성을 높였다.
또한, 카카오뱅크는 매년 인증서 발급을 위해 사업자가 부담해야했던 최대 11만원의 발급 수수료(범용 인증서 기준)를 무료화했다.
향후 카카오뱅크는 개인사업자 고객이 인증서를 통해 다양한 간편인증, 전자서명 업무를 수행할 수 있도록 민간·공공 기관과 협력을 확대해나갈 계획이다.
카카오뱅크 관계자는 “카카오뱅크가 출범 당시 공인인증서가 아닌 자체인증을 도입해 편리한 모바일 뱅킹을 선도했듯이, 사업자 인증서 분야 혁신을 통해 소상공인의 모바일 이용 편익을 높이고 사업자 인증 체계 변화 또한 이끌어가겠다”고 말했다.
