천안시 드림스타트,독서 취약계층 아동 문해력 향상 지원

충남 천안시 드림스타트는 지난 2월 계획 수립 이후 4월부터 국립공주대학교 자원봉사센터와 협력해 독서 취약계층 아동의 상상력과 문해력 향상을 위한 ‘한 입에 떠먹여 주는 오디오 북클럽’ 프로그램을 진행하고 있다고 23일 밝혔다.

이 프로그램은 다문화가정, 장애 등 다양한 이유로 언어 발달이 지연된 아동들의 인지·언어능력 향상을 목표로 기획됐으며, 이를 위해 자발적으로 참여한 국립공주대학교 자원봉사센터의 대학생 봉사자들과 천안시 드림스타트가 취약계층 아동을 위한 연령별 맞춤 오디오북을 제작·배포할 예정이다.

천안시 드림스타트는 자원봉사자들이 본격적인 녹음 활동을 시작하기에 앞서 드림스타트 사업에 대한 이해를 돕기 위한 사전 교육을 진행했고,

천안시영상미디어센터 녹음실을 무료로 대여해 전문 장비를 사용한 녹음 연습을 지원하고 있다.

공주대학교 자원봉사자들은 다양한 아동 연령대의 오디오북을 제작하기 위해 3개 조로 나눠 활동하고 있으며, 성장기 아동의 인지·언어, 정서 안정에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 다양한 양질의 도서를 엄선해 함께 녹음하고 있다.

천안시청 윤은미 아동보육과장은 “대학생 자원봉사자들의 재능기부로 추진되고 있는 오디오북이 아동의 상상력을 자극하고 취약계층 아동의 독서 접근성을 높여 인지·언어 발달 향상에 기여하길 바란다”고 밝혔다.
