세종특별자치시가 헌혈 중요성을 강조하는 릴레이 캠페인을 진행한다.
이를 위해 세종시는 4일 시청에서 헌혈의 중요성을 알리고 시민 동참을 유도하는 ‘헌혈의 날’ 선포식을 개최했다고 밝혔다.
선포식은 대한적십자사 대전·세종·충남 혈액원, 대전·세종 적십자봉사회 등 지역 사회 단체와 협력을 통해 개최됐다.
이날 최민호 시장과 송하영 대한적십자사 대전·세종지사회장, 차정수 대한적십자사 대전·세종·충남혈액원장 등과 시민들은 헌혈을 통한 생명나눔 문화 확산에 동참하기로 약속했다.
특히 시민들에게 헌혈에 대한 긍정적인 인식을 확산하기 위해 선포식 참석자들이 직접 헌혈에 참여하는 ‘헌혈 릴레이 캠페인’을 진행했다.
캠페인을 통해 대한적십자사 대전·세종·충남 혈액원, 대전·세종 적십자봉사회, 시청 직원 등 관계자들은 직접 헌혈에 참여하고 시민들에게 헌혈 홍보물을 배부하는 시간을 가졌다.
최민호 시장은 “헌혈은 단순히 혈액을 나누는 것을 넘어 이웃의 생명을 구하는 고귀한 사랑의 실천”이라며 “시민들이 헌혈에 대한 중요성을 재인식하고 헌혈을 통한 생명나눔 가치 실현을 할 수 있도록 노력하겠다”고 말했다.
