[브레이크뉴스=양영석 기자] 남해군 관내 5곳 해수욕장들이 7월 5일 개장을 시작으로 순차적으로 개장에 들어간다.
군은 지난 5일 군청 대회의실에서 ‘남해군 해수욕장협의회’를 개최하고 해수욕장 개최 시기 및 운영과 관련한 주요 사항을 의결했다.
관내 해수욕장 5곳 중 상주은모래비치가 7월 5일 가장 먼저 개장한다.
남해군 대표 해수욕장인 상주은모래비치는 7월 5일부터 8월 18일까지 총 45일간 개장하며 개장 시간은 오전 10시부터 오후 6시까지이다.
전년도에 이어서 올해도 8월 1일부터 8월 15일까지 오후 9시까지 야간 개장을 한다.
송정솔바람해변, 설리해수욕장, 두곡·월포해수욕장, 사촌해수욕장은 여름 장마 기간 등을 고려해 개장 기간을 7월 12일부터 8월 25일까지로 정했다.
개장시간은 오전 10시부터 오후 6시까지다.
이날 협의회를 통해 남해군과 유관기관은 안전사고 예방, 물가 및 위생 관리 등 분야별 이용객 편의를 위한 준비 상황도 점검했다.
남해군은 개장 기간에 인명구조 자격을 갖춘 해수욕장 안전요원 총 38명을 배치하고 개장 기간 전후에는 해수욕장 바다 안전관리자를 배치해 해수욕장 안전사고 예방에 최선을 다할 예정이다.
남해군 관계자는 “2024년 성공적인 해수욕장 운영을 위해 개장 전 백사장 정비, 안전시설의 정비 등 환경 개선 조치를 완료하고 6월 중 안전관리요원 채용과 안전 장비 조기 배치 등 개장 준비 마무리에 박차를 가할 예정”이라고 밝혔다.
