[브레이크뉴스=양영석 기자] 홍태용 김해시장이 17일 정부세종청사를 방문해 김해시 주요 사업 내년도 국비 지원을 건의하고 각종 현안사업 특별교부세 확보에 주력했다.
시는 앞서 지난 2월 2025년 국비 확보 추진전략 보고회를 열고 ‘국비 1조원 시대’를 열기 위해 1조 167억원(국·도비 합산 시 1조 2,280억원)의 국비 확보를 목표로 전 행정력을 집중하고 있다.
이날 홍 시장은 2025년 정부예산안 심의에 한창인 기획재정부와 특별교부세 담당부처인 행정안전부를 잇달아 방문해 김윤상 기획재정부 제2차관, 고기동 행정안전부 차관을 차례로 만나 시의 내년도 주요 국비사업들과 현안사업들의 필요성을 설명하고 내년도 국비와 특별교부세 적극적 지원을 요청했다.
기재부 제2차관 방문에서 △김해오픈이노베이션(89억원) △김해시 자원순환시설 현대화사업(157억원) △대동첨단일반산업단지 완충저류시설(109억원) 등 계속사업의 차질 없는 추진을 위한 국비 지원을 요청했다.
또 △화목하수처리구역 활천처리분구 차집관로 정비(총사업비 444억원) △봉곡천유역 하수관로 정비(총사업비 143억원) 2개 신규사업의 필요성에 대해 설명하고 정부예산 반영을 건의했다.
행정안전부 차관을 방문해서는 △제105회 전국체전 개최도시 지원(20억원) △진영읍·주촌면 행정복지센터 신축(40억원) △농촌테마공원 조성사업(25억원) 등 현안사업들의 원활한 추진을 위해 아낌없는 특별교부세 지원을 요청했다.
홍 시장은 “내년에도 정부의 건전재정 예산운용기조가 계속될 것으로 예상되어 국비 확보에 어려움이 많은 만큼 우리 시의 사업추진의지가 충분히 전달되어 정부예산안에 반영될 때까지 몇 번이든 중앙부처를 방문하겠다”며 “김해 미래 전략산업 발전과 현안사업 해결을 위한 사업비를 확보하기 위해 전 직원들과 함께 행정력을 집중해 국비 확보에 최선을 다하겠다”고 밝혔다.
