[브레이크뉴스=양영석 기자] 한중일 2024 동아시아 문화도시 한국 선정 도시인 김해시는 중국과의 교류 활성화를 위해 란민 신아태문화예술협회장을 시 홍보대사로 위촉했다고 20일 밝혔다.
란민 회장은 중국 다롄시 출신으로 다롄방송대학교 회계학과를 졸업하고 광주여자대학교에서 실버복지경영학 석사 학위를 취득 했으며, 현재 신아태문화예술연합회장, 부산중국교민협회장 등으로 활동하며 한국과 중국의 교류 활성화에 노력하고 있다.
특히, 올해 동아시아 문화도시 중국의 도시로 다롄시가 선정되면서 해당 사업에 관심을 갖게 돼 특유의 추진력과 친화력을 바탕으로 김해시가 동아시아 문화도시 개막행사를 추진하는 과정에서 중국 대표단과의 가교 역할을 하며 도왔다.
아울러 지난 5월 다롄시의 개막행사 때 김해시 대표단과 함께 초청·방문하여 오는 11월 다롄시와 우호교류협약 체결을 위한 다양한 활동과 역할을 수행했다.
위촉 기간은 오는 7월부터 2026년 12월 31일까지 2년 6개월로 이 기간 동안 동아시아 문화도시 사업 홍보와 중국과의 우호 협력, 중국 관광객 유치 활성화 등의 활동을 하게 된다.
시는 2022년 12월 문체부 ‘2024 동아시아 문화도시’ 공모사업에 선정돼 2023년 9월 공식 선포 이후 지난 4월 개막행사를 시작으로 도자교류전, 청소년 문화제, 조각페스티벌 등 다양한 문화교류행사를 추진하고 있다.
또 중국 웨이팡시와 다롄시의 개막행사에도 모두 참가하며 동아시아 문화도시 사업으로 시작된 중국 도시와의 우호 관계를 키워가고 있다.
홍태용 시장은 “동아시아 문화도시 사업을 계기로 시작된 중국 도시와의 인연을 지속적으로 발전시키는 것이 중요하다”며 “지금껏 활동해 주신 것처럼 앞으로도 교류사업을 추진하는 데에 있어 중국과의 소통에 노력해 주시고 나아가 중국과 우호협력관계를 확장하고 중국 관광객을 유치하는 데도 힘써 달라”고 당부했다.
