브레이크뉴스 최애리 기자= CJ그룹은 개방형 혁신, 오픈이노베이션 프로그램인 ‘오벤터스’(O!VentUs, Open+Venture+Us)’ 7기에 모두 8개팀 스타트업을 선발했다고 27일 밝혔다.
오벤터스는 혁신적인 기술과 창의적인 아이디어를 가진 스타트업을 발굴하고 사업검증(PoC) 및 액셀러레이팅을 통해 CJ 계열사들과의 공동 사업화를 지원하는 프로그램으로, 서울창조경제혁신센터와 함께 진행하고 있다.
이번에 선발된 스타트업은 ‘식품&바이오’ 분야 3곳(△닥터다이어리 △니즈 △파이프트리 스마트팜), ‘물류’ 분야 3곳(△오믈렛 △크로스빔 △프롬디), ‘엔터테인먼트&미디어’ 분야 2곳(△일만백만 △시마트)이다.
CJ계열사는 CJ제일제당, CJ피드앤케어, CJ프레시웨이, CJ대한통운(물류/건설), CJ ENM, CJ CGV 등 6개사 7개 부문이 참여한다.
오벤터스 7기는 건강관리 플랫폼, 인공지능(AI) 기반 산업현장 자동화 솔루션, 영상 자동 제작 등 각 스타트업의 전문성을 바탕으로 앞으로 CJ계열사에서 제안한 혁신 과제를 추진하게 된다.
이에 앞서 오벤터스 7기로 선발된 스타트업 8개팀은 지난 26일 향후 계획과 일정을 공유 받고, 협업을 진행할 CJ계열사와 사업검증 과제를 논의하는 오리엔테이션을 진행했다. 대상 스타트업은 오는 7월부터 약 4개월간 본격적인 혁신 과제를 수행하게 되며 사별로 사업화 지원금 1000만원이 각각 지급된다.
스타트업에 대한 성장 프로그램도 병행된다. CJ는 보유역량을 기반으로 기업홍보(PR), IR 등 전문 컨설팅을 제공하는 한편, CJ인베스트먼트, CJ 계열사가 투자 및 사업연계 가능성을 검토하는 ‘CJ커넥트데이’도 진행할 계획이다.
올 10월 말에는 스타트업들이 매칭된 CJ 계열사와의 사업검증(PoC)과 액셀러레이팅을 통해 도출된 혁신적인 기술 및 사업모델을 홍보하고, 투자유치를 모색하는 ‘데모데이’를 개최한다. 차별화된 솔루션을 제시한 우수기업에 대해서는 공동 기술개발 및 투자를 통해 지속적인 협력 관계를 구축해 나갈 계획이다.

한편, 오벤터스는 2019년부터 시작해 현재까지 7기, 총 60팀의 스타트업을 발굴했으며, 사업검증(PoC) 이후 30%에 가까운 연계율을 보이고 있다.
