경주시 직장운동경기부, 대한체육회 주관 공모 선정...총 사업비 2억8200만원 확보

시에 따르면 이번 공모는 국민체육진흥기금 사업으로 직장운동경기부 창단을 활성화하고 안정적인 운영과 우수 선수 육성·발굴을 위해 훈련용품, 대회 출전비, 전지 훈련비 등을 지원하는 사업이다.

올해 1월 창단된 경주시 직장운동경기부 태권도팀은 창단지원 공모사업에 응모해 3년간 1억6600만원의 사업비를 지원받게 됐다. 단 지원은 5년 이상 창단팀을 유지하는 조건이다.

경주시 직장운동경기부 4개 팀(육상, 트라이애슬론, 우슈, 검도)은 운영 지원 사업에 응모해 올 한해 1억1600만원 사업비를 확보했다.

경주시는 이번 공모사업 선정으로 선수들의 사기진작과 경기력 향상에 큰 도움이 될 것으로 기대하고 있다.

주낙영 경주시장은 “어려운 여건 속에서도 묵묵히 훈련하고 있는 선수들에게 많은 도움이 될 것”이라며 “앞으로도 직장운동경기부가 안정적으로 운영될 수 있도록 다양한 지원을 아끼지 않겠다”고 말했다.
