윤석열 대통령이 15일 집중호우 피해가 발생한 충북 영동군·충남 논산시·서천군·전북 완주군·경북 영양군 입암면 등을 특별재난지역으로 우선 선포했다.
이번 5개 선포 지역은 사전 피해조사가 완료된 곳으로 정부는 이외 지역에 대해서도 이달 말까지 합동 조사를 진행해 추가 특별재난지역 선포를 검토할 계획이라고 김수경 대통령실 대변인이 이날 서면브리핑에서 전했다.
윤 대통령은 "기록적 폭우로 안타까운 피해가 발생해 마음이 무겁다"며 "이번 주 장마전선이 다시 북상하면서 추가적 피해가 우려되므로 피해지역에 대해선 신속하게 응급 복구·피해조사 등을 실시하라"고 지시했다.
또 "다른 지역에서도 사전 대비 태세에 만전을 기하라"고 행정안전부 등 관계기관에 당부했다고 김 대변인은 전했다.
