윤석열 대통령이 17일 집중호우 대응·대처를 위해 예정돼 있던 외부 회의 일정을 연기하고 상황을 점검 중이다.
이날 대통령실에 따르면 당초 윤 대통령은 충남에서 한덕수 국무총리를 비롯 유관 부처 장관들과 지방자치단체장 등이 참석하는 제7회 중앙지방협력회의를 주재할 예정이었으나 연기한 것으로 전해졌다.
이날 새벽부터 폭우가 쏟아지면서 대통령실을 비롯 중앙정부·지자체 모두 현장에서 호우 대처에 진력할 필요가 있다고 본 것으로 보인다.
이날 오전 윤 대통령은 전국 각 지역별 호우 상황을 보고받고 피해 최소화를 위한 대처를 지시했다.
대통령실은 "대통령께서 실시간 피해 상황을 보고받고 각 지자체장들에게 현 위치에서 피해복구·대처에 만전을 기해 달라 당부했다"고 전했다.
