윤석열 대통령이 29일 파리 올림픽에서 연일 메달 소식을 전하고 있는 한국 국가대표팀에게 응원 메시지를 보냈다.
윤 대통령은 이날 페이스북에 "올림픽 양궁 여자 단체전 10연패 위업을 달성한 국가대표 임시현·전훈영·남수현 선수에게 뜨거운 박수를 보낸다"며 "저도 마지막 슛오프 한 발까지 손에 땀을 쥐고 응원하며 지켜봤다"고 적었다.
그러면서 "세 선수 모두 올림픽 경험이 없었지만 어느 대회보다 어렵다는 대한민국 대표팀 선발전을 뚫고 올라와 '대한민국 1등이 곧 세계 1등'임을 다시 한번 증명했다"고 적었다.
또 "펜싱 남자 사브르 오상욱 선수는 대한민국에 이번 올림픽 첫 금메달을 안겨줬고, 사격 여자 10미터 공기 권총에선 오예진·김예지 선수가 금메달과 은메달을 휩쓰는 쾌거를 이뤄냈다"며 "남자 수영 자유형 400미터에선 김우민 선수가 우리 수영 선수로는 12년 만에 시상대에 올랐다"고 적었다.
더불어 "분전에 분전을 거듭하며 땀과 눈물을 쏟고 있는 143명 대한민국 대표팀 모두가 정말 자랑스럽다"며 "지금까지 그래왔듯 스스로를 믿고 최선을 다해달라. 팀코리아를 힘껏 응원한다"고 덧붙였다.
프랑스 파리에서 100년 만에 다시 열리는 제33회 여름올림픽은 지난 25일(현지시간) 개회식을 시작으로 막을 올린 가운데 폐회식은 오는 8월 12일 예정이다.
