월성 2호기 계획예방정비 후 발전재개

【브레이크뉴스 경주】박희경 기자=한국수력원자력(주) 월성원자력본부(본부장 김한성)는 지난 5월 28일 제22차 계획예방정비에 들어갔던 월성2호기(가압중수로형·70만㎾급)가 약 72일간의 계획예방정비를 마치고 8월 8일 00시 10분경에 발전을 재개했다고 밝혔다.

월성원자력본부에 따르면 월성 2호기는 계획예방정비기간 동안 무정전 전원계통 충전기 및 축전지 교체, 저압터빈 분해점검, 증기발생기 검사 등 주요 설비 점검 및 기기 정비 작업을 수행하였으며, 원자력안전법에 따라 정기검사를 수행한 결과 원자로 및 관련 설비의 안전성과 신뢰성이 동법 허가기준에 적합함을 확인했다.

월성 2호기는 8월 8일 00시 10분에 발전을 재개하여, 8월 9일 00시 30분경에 정상운전 출력에 도달했다.

Wolseong Unit 2 Resumes Power Generation After Planned Preventive Maintenance

Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power Co., Ltd. Wolseong Nuclear Power Headquarters (Director Kim Han-seong) announced that Wolseong Unit 2 (pressurized heavy water reactor type, 700,000 kW class), which had entered the 22nd planned preventive maintenance on May 28, resumed power generation at around 00:10 on August 8 after completing approximately 72 days of planned preventive maintenance.

According to Wolseong Nuclear Power Headquarters, during the planned preventive maintenance period, Wolseong Unit 2 performed major facility inspections and equipment maintenance work such as replacement of the uninterruptible power system charger and storage battery, disassembly inspection of the low-pressure turbine, and inspection of the steam generator. As a result of the regular inspection conducted in accordance with the Atomic Energy Safety Act, it was confirmed that the safety and reliability of the reactor and related facilities met the licensing standards of the Act.
