이완섭 서산시장이 16일 지역 농축산 발전 기반을 마련하기 위해 정부세종청사를 방문해 농림축산식품부 장관을 만났다.

서산시에 따르면 농림축산식품부 장관을 만난 이 시장은 서산한우 브랜드 경쟁력 강화를 위한 특화거리 조성을 건의하며 운산면 일원에 소재하는 한우개량사업소와 한우목장 등을 농림축산식품부 장관에게 소개했다고 전했다.

또한 항구적인 가뭄대책을 마련하기 위해 추진하는 중부지구 2단계 농촌용수이용체계의 개편에 필요한 기본 조사비 3억 원을 요청했다.

해당 사업은 농촌용수를 개편해 대호호의 수자원을 효율적으로 배분해 저수량이 부족한 관내 5개 저수지에 물을 공급한다.
