세종시의회 교육안전위원회(이하 교안위)가 26·27일 양일간 제1∼2차 회의를 개최하고 조례안 등 14건을 심사했다고 밝혔다.
교안위는 이번 회의에서 학습권 보장을 위한 교원 정원 확보 촉구 결의안, 세종특별자치시교육청 융합교육 활성화 지원 조례안 등 12건은 원안가결했고, 세종특별자치시교육청 지역사 교육 활성화 조례안은 수정가결했으며, 2024년∼2028년 지방교육행정기관 교육공무직원 중기기본인력 운용계획에 대해 집행부의 보고를 청취했다.
윤지성 위원장은 세종특별자치시교육청 융합교육 활성화 지원 조례안을 발의하여 융합교육의 활성화를 통해 창의적이고 혁신적인 인재를 양성하고, 지역사회의 지속 가능한 발전을 도모하고자 했다.
더불어 세종특별자치시교육청 지역사 교육 활성화 조례안 제정 발의를 통해 지역사 교육에 필요한 사항을 규정하여 우리지역에 대한 애향심을 키우고 정체성을 확립하는 데 이바지하고자 했다.
박란희 위원은 학습권 보장을 위한 교원 정원 확보 촉구 결의안을 발의하여 확대되는 세종시 교육인프라에 걸맞는 교원 정원 확보를 통해 과밀학급을 해소하고 전반적인 교육의 질을 제고하고자 했다.
유인호 위원은 행정안전부의 민원인의 위법행위에 대한 법적 대응 방안 발표에 발맞춰, 민원 공무원 등에 대한 법적 지원사항을 구체화하여 제도적 근거를 마련하고자 세종특별자치시 민원업무담당 공무원 등의 보호 및 지원 조례 일부개정조례안을 발의했다.
이날 회의에서 윤지성 위원장은 “제·개정된 조례의 적용을 통해 창조와 도전의 미래전략수도 세종으로 발돋움하기를 기대한다”며, “최근 조직개편에 따라 업무 추진에 어려움은 없는지 담당자의 입장에서 세심하게 살펴봐달라”고 당부했다.
한편, 교육안전위원회에서 심사한 안건은 9월 9일 열리는 제91회 임시회 2차 본회의 의결을 거쳐 최종 확정될 예정이다.
