【브레이크뉴스 울진】이우근 기자=한국수력원자력(주) 한울원자력본부(본부장 이세용, 이하 한울본부)는 8월 29일 원자력안전위원회, 한국원자력안전기술원 및 한국원자력의학원 관계자들의 점검하에 한울2호기, 신한울2호기 방사능방재 전체훈련을 실시했다고 29일 밝혔다.

방사능방재 전체훈련은‘원자력시설 등의 방호 및 방사능방재대책법’에 따라 발전소별로 매년 실시하며 방사선 비상 사고 발생 시 조기에 수습하여 국민의 생명과 재산을 보호하고, 환경에 미치는 방사선영향 최소화를 위해 사전에 연습하는 것이다.
이번 훈련은 울진 동쪽 80km 지점에서 규모 6.8의 지진이 발생하여 소내.외 전원 공급 차단과 발전설비 손상으로 노심용융이 우려되고 방사성물질이 외부로 누설되는 상황을 가정하여 시행하였다.
319명의 인원이 참여하여 다수호기 동시 비상 발생 시 종합적인 상황 대응을 점검하였으며 유관 기관과 실시간 정보공유, 오염환자 의료구호 및 이동형 발전차를 이용한 전원복구 등의 훈련으로 비상계획의 효과 입증에 중점을 두었다.
이세용 본부장은“한울본부에서 처음 실시하는 다수호기 방사능방재 전체훈련으로 비상대응 역량을 강화하는 계기가 되었으며, 앞으로도 방사선 비상 사고에 대한 다양한 대처 능력을 점검하는 훈련을 지속적으로 실시하고 미비한 부분은 보완하여 국민 안전을 위해 최선을 다하겠다”라고 말했다.

Hanul Headquarters Conducts Full-Scale Radiation Disaster Prevention Training for Multiple Units

Headquarters Director Lee Se-yong said, “This is the first comprehensive training for radiation disaster prevention conducted by Hanul Headquarters, and it has served as an opportunity to strengthen emergency response capabilities. We will continue to conduct training to check various response capabilities for radiation emergency accidents and improve any shortcomings to do our best for the safety of the people.”
