[브레이크뉴스경기남부=화성 이현준기자] 화성시의회 기획행정위원회는 추석을 맞아 관내 사회복지기관 2곳을 방문하였다.
이날 방문에는 장철규 위원장을 비롯한 김미영 부위원장, 김경희, 송선영, 이해남 위원이 함께 동행하였다.
지난 3일 정남면에 위치한 성녀루이제의 집과 진안동에 위치한 병점 무료 급식소를 차례로 찾아 화성시 대표 브랜드 쌀인 수향미 300㎏(각 10㎏×15포대)를 전달하고 격려하는 등 따뜻한 온정을 함께 나눴다.
이날은 관계자들로부터 현장의 여건과 운영상 애로사항 등을 청취하고 시설 이용자들을 격려하며 직접 배식 봉사에 참여해 따뜻한 한 끼를 함께 나누며 진심 어린 소통의 시간을 가졌다.
성녀루이제의 집은 1992년에 개원해 소속 수녀들과 자원봉사자들이 운영하는 무료 양로원이며, 병점 무료 급식소는 화성 지역의 독거노인을 비롯해 서울, 안양, 평택, 천안 등지에서 온 노숙인들도 방문해 식사를 해결하는 곳이다.
장철규 기획행정위원회 위원장은“우리의 작은 나눔이 명절을 앞두고 소외된 이웃들에게 조금이나마 힘이 되었으면 한다”라며“앞으로도 지역사회와 함께하는 다양한 활동을 통해 소외된 이웃을 살피고 지원하는 데 힘쓰겠다”라고 말했다.
