최민호 세종시장이 4일 전공의 이탈 후 맞는 첫 명절을 앞두고 응급의료기관 등 관계자들과 만나 관련 대책을 논의했다.
세종시에 따르면 이번 간담회는 관내 응급의료기관으로 세종시민의 건강과 안전에 헌신하고 있는 세종충남대병원, 엔케이병원, 웰키즈소아과의원 등 3곳이 참여했다.
최민호 시장은 이들 3개 기관을 각각 방문해 의료진과 관계자들을 직접 만나 세종시 응급의료기관으로서 역할과 책임을 다하는 관계자들에게 감사의 마음을 전했다.
특히 다가오는 추석 연휴에 차질 없는 응급의료·비상진료 체계 유지를 위한 상호 협력 방안을 논의했다.
먼저 세종충남대병원에는 많은 어려운 여건 속에서도 성인응급의료센터가 정상화될 수 있도록 협력하면서 대책을 찾아가자고 강조했다.
세종충남대병원 소아전문응급의료센터는 24시간 정상 운영 중에 있지만 성인응급의료센터는 추석 연휴 기간인 오는 16일에서 19일까지 3일간 24시간 정상 운영하고 그 외 기간은 오전 8시에서 오후 6시까지 주간에만 운영하고 있다.
이에 따라 중앙수습대책본부는 이날 군의관 2명을 파견 지원했다.
시는 중수본에 추가로 군의관 지원을 요청했으며 향후 추가 인력이 지원되면 응급의료센터가 정상 운영될 수 있도록 세종충남대병원과 적극적으로 협력할 예정이다.
이어 최 시장은 엔케이병원과 세종충남대병원 응급실 야간 진료 중단에 따른 과밀화 해소 방안 등을 논의했다.
세종시의 유일한 달빛어린이병원인 웰키즈소아과와의 간담회에서는 명절 연휴 야간·휴일 소아 진료를 위한 병원과 협력약국 간 비상 진료 체계 유지 등을 당부했다.
최민호 시장은 “의료 현장에 많은 어려움이 있는 상황이지만 시민들이 불안해 하시지 않도록 응급의료 상황이 안정될 때까지 서로 힘을 합해 협력하자”고 말했다.
