최민호 세종시장은 오는 10일 도입하는 이응패스와 이에 발맞춰 시행 중인 버스노선 개편 등 대중교통 혁신 방안을 시민에게 안내하고 시민의 적극적인 동참을 당부했다.
최민호 시장은 5일 반곡동 복합커뮤니티센터 대공연장에서 3·4생활권 주민들이 만나 대중교통혁신 등 시정 역점사업을 설명하면서 이같이 말했다.
이날 시민과의 대화 행사에는 최민호 시장을 비롯해 보람동, 대평동, 소담동, 반곡동, 집현동 주민들과 시의원, 시 관계 공무원 등 100여 명이 참석했다.
최민호 시장은 ‘창조와 도전의 미래전략수도, 세종이 미래다’를 주제로 세종시의 5대 비전과 3대 핵심 과제도 설명했다.
특히 오는 10일 본격 시행되는 이응패스를 통한 대중교통혁신 정책을 강조하며 대중교통 중심도시 세종시 건설을 위해 주민들의 많은 관심과 참여를 당부했다.
최민호 시장은 “이응패스와 버스노선 개편 등 대중교통 혁신정책의 성패는 시민의 적극적인 참여에 달려 있다”며 “우리시가 당초 계획대로 대중교통 중심도시로 성장할 수 있도록 많은 관심과 참여를 바란다”고 말했다.
이어진 주민들과의 대화 시간에서는 최민호 시장과 지역 주민들이 머리를 맞대고 지역 발전을 위한 건의사항과 대안 등을 함께 논의했다.
이날 대화에 참석한 3·4생활권 주민들은 수변공원 활성화와 집현동 내 이응버스 정류장 확충, 마을정원 조성 후 관리 철저, 미이관 시설에 대한 조속한 이관 등을 요청했다.
이에 대해 최 시장은 직접 주민들에게 현재 시에서 추진 중인 사항을 설명하고 현장확인 등이 필요한 부분은 담당 국장, 동장에게 확인 후 조치할 수 있도록 했다.
또 미이관 시설 문제와 관련해 행정중심복합도시건설청, 한국토지주택공사(LH)와 협조하고 있는 사항을 안내하고 이들 기관과 소통을 통해 시민 불편을 해소해 나가겠다고 밝혔다.
최민호 시장은 “세종시는 국회 세종의사당 건립, 대통령 제2집무실 설치, 세종국제정원도시박람회, 한글문화단지 조성 등 핵심 사업을 통해 행정수도, 정원속의 도시, 한글문화도시로 도약할 것”이라며 “앞으로도 지역 발전과 시민 삶의 질 향상을 위해 여러분의 목소리에 귀 기울이며 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
