진주시, 제25회 사회복지의날 기념행사 가져

[브레이크뉴스=정철규 기자] 진주시사회복지협의회는 5일 오후 2시30분께 중소벤츠기업진흥공단 1층 대 강당에서 사회복지에 대한 시민의 이해 증진과 사회복지 종사자에 대한 활동을 장려하기 위해 제25회 사회복지의 날 기념식을 개최했다.

이날 행사는 진주시가 주최하고 진주시사회복지협의회가 주관해 조규일 진주시장, 진주시의회 백승흥의장, 유관 기관단체장, 사회복지 시설 및 기관 종사자 등 500여명이 참석해 식전행사 K-하모니오케스트라 공연과 본행사 유공자 표창 등의 순으로 진행됐다.

이날 조규일 진주시장은 지역사회 복지증진에 기여한 사회복지인들의 노고를 치하하고 지역사회가 좀 더 밝고 따뜻해 질수 있도록 사회복지인들의 많은 관심과 노력을 당부했다.

진주시 사회복지협의회 김기호 회장은 “협의회는 민간 사회복지 전달체계의 중추적인 역할을 하는 중심기관으로 목적과 기능에 부합하는 역할을 수행 하겠다”며 “지역 현장에서 보내준 신뢰와 바탕으로 사회에 희망을 전하겠다”고 말했다.
