브레이크뉴스 정민우 기자= LG가 추석 명절을 앞두고 협력사 및 지역사회와의 상생을 위해 납품대금을 조기에 지급하고, 온누리상품권 구매 및 생필품 나눔 등을 통한 상생활동을 전개한다.
LG전자, LG이노텍, LG화학, LG에너지솔루션, LG생활건강, LG유플러스, LG CNS, D&O 등 8개 계열사는 총 9500억 원 규모의 협력사 납품대금을 예정일보다 최대 14일 앞당겨 추석 연휴 전에 지급할 계획이다.
이는 추석 명절을 맞아 원자재 대금, 상여금 지급 등 자금 수요가 일시적으로 몰리는 협력 회사들이 안정적으로 자금 유동성을 확보할 수 있도록 지원하기 위한 조치다.
LG는 지난 설 명절에도 중소 협력사들의 원활한 자금 운용을 돕기 위해 1조2500억 원 규모의 납품대금을 예정보다 앞당겨 지급한 바 있다.
LG 계열사들은 이와 별도로 협력사가 저금리로 대출을 받아 자금을 조달할 수 있도록 상생협력펀드, 직접 대출 등 1조2000억 원 규모의 금융지원 프로그램을 운영하고 있다.
LG전자는 지난해 1000억 원 규모의 협력사 ESG펀드를 신설해 현재 총 3000억 원 규모의 상생협력펀드를 운영하며 경영자금이 필요한 협력사에 저금리 대출을 지원하고 있다. 2004년부터 신규 설비 및 자동화 설비를 투자해야 하는 협력사에는 매년 400억 원 규모의 자금을 무이자로 제공하며 협력사의 제조경쟁력 확보를 지원하고 있다.
