이재준 수원시장을 비롯한 수원시 대표단은 20~22일 시엠립주를 방문해 자매결연 20주년 기념행사에 참석하고, 지속적인 교류를 약속했다. 이번 방문에는 수원시의회 김정렬 부의장을 비롯한 시의원, 국제봉사단체 행복캄 홍순목 이사장과 회원들, 의료대표단, 시민봉사단, 수원시상인연합회 관계자 등이 함께했다.
수원중·고등학교에‘새빛 컴퓨터실’ 개장
이재준 시장은 21일, 20주년을 기념해 조성한 ‘새빛 컴퓨터실’ 개장식에 참석했다. 시엠립주 프놈끄라옴 수원마을 수원중·고등학교 내에 있는 새빛 컴퓨터실에는 PC(개인용 컴퓨터) 30대가 있다.
수원시가 PC 교체를 지원했고, 행복캄이 컴퓨터실을 조성했다. 수원시상인연합회는 책상 교체·스마트TV·인터넷 설치 등을, 신현삼 수원시배구협회장은 태양광 패널 설치를 지원했다.

자매결연 20주년 기념행사 열고, 지속적인 교류협력 약속
오후에는 시엠립주 청사를 찾아 쁘락 소포안(Prak Sophoan) 시엠립주지사를 만나고, ‘수원-시엠립 자매결연 20주년 기념행사’에 함께했다.
자매결연 20주년 기념행사는 ‘수원마을 장학사업 협약’ 체결, 수원-시엠립 20주년 기념영상 상영, 이재준 시장·김정렬 수원시의회 부의장·홍순목 행복캄 이사장·쁘락 소포안 시엠립주지사 인사말, 수원마을 특성화교육 성과발표 등으로 이어졌다.
‘수원마을 장학사업’은 2025년부터 2028년까지 매년 수원마을 수원중·고등학교 우수졸업생 2명을 선발해 아주대학교 한국어학당 6개월 과정을 수강하도록 지원하는 것이다.
협약에 따라 수원시는 항공료와 학비 50%, 기숙사비 전액을 지원하고, 행복캄은 생활비, 아주대학교는 학비 50%를 지원한다. 시엠립주는 우수졸업생을 추천하고, 학생들의 신분을 보증한다.
이재준 시장은 협약식에서 “자매결연 20주년을 기념해 처음으로 미래세대를 육성하는 장학사업을 시작하게 됐다”며 “수원마을 학생들이 수원에서 어학연수를 하며 수원마을 아이들의 꿈과 희망이 되고, 나아가 수원시와 시엠립주의 가교 역할도 할 수 있을 것”이라고 기대했다.

행복캄 등 민간단체, 수원마을에 후원물품 전달
이재준 시장은 22일 수원중·고등학교에서 열린 수원마을 후원물품식에 참석하는 것으로 시엠립주 방문 일정을 마무리했다.
행복캄, 수원농업협동조합, 수원시보건의료단체, 시민봉사단, 신현삼 수원시배구협회장, 김용기 세기악기사 대표, 김재옥 수원상공회의소 회장, 수원시상인연합회, IBK기업은행 동수원지점, 수원시어린이집연합회 민간가정분과 영통구회 등이 그릇, 쌀, 주택개량사업, 수건, 리코더, 도서, 교복, 학용품, 에코백, 가방, 옷, 장난감, 태권도복, 자전거 등 다양한 물품을 전달했다.
