안성시 식품안심거리는 음식문화개선사업의 일환으로, 시민이 자주 방문하는 쇼핑몰, 호수주변, 관광지 등 외식업소가 모여 있는 일정 구간에 대하여 음식점 위생등급제와 환경플러스 안심식당 등 인증업소가 60% 이상인 경우 지정한다.
이번에 지정한 식품안심거리는 경기도의료원 안성병원 입구 주변 남파로 300m 구간이며, 영업 중인 15개 외식업소중 음식점 위생등급제 4개소, 환경플러스 안심식당 7개소 등 총 11개 인증업소가 밀집되어 있다.
시는 지난 3월부터 환경플러스 안심식당 및 위생등급제 신청 홍보와 함께 신청업소에 대한 점검 및 확인을 통해 본 사업을 펼쳐왔다.
시 관계자는 “이번에 지정한 식품안심거리는 우리시 음식문화개선사업에 관심을 갖고 적극 동참 해주신 영업주분들의 협조가 있어 가능한 것으로, 앞으로 식품안심거리가 더욱 확대될 수 있도록 적극 홍보하고 지원하겠다”고 전했다.
