[브레이크뉴스경기남부=용인 이현준기자] 용인특례시는 임신지원금 지급 등 각 부서의 핵심 정책을 검토했다.
이상일 시장은 26일 오후 시청 영상회의실에서 ‘2025년 주요 업무 추진계획 보고회’를 직접 주재하며 제1부시장 소관 실·국·사업소·구청의 주요 사업 계획을 보고받고 예산편성 등의 문제를 검토했다.
보고에서 시는 출산을 보다 적극적으로 장려하기 위해 내년부터 시에 주민등록을 한 기간이 180일 이상인 임신 20주 이상 임신부에게 30만원의 임신지원금을 지역화폐로 지급하는 방안을 추진키로 했다.
생애 첫 주택을 구입한 청년에게는 대출 잔액의 이자 1%를 100만원 한도 내에서 지급하고, 광복 80주년을 기념해 참전 유공자 명예수당을 80세 이상은 7만원에서 10만원으로, 80세 미만은 3만원에서 5만원으로 인상하는 방안도 논의됐다.
시는 책 읽는 문화를 확산하도록 처인구 역북동과 기흥구 마북동, 상하동에 각각 스마트도서관을 설치하고 구성도서관을 리모델링해 연내 재개관키로 했다.

이 시장은 세계 주요 전시회에 용인브랜드관을 운영하거나 지역 특화 취업 지원 프로그램을 추진할 때 정책의 효과를 치밀하게 분석해 비용 대비 효과가 낮은 사업이 있다면 정비하는 방안도 강구하라고 했다.
이 시장은 “각 부서가 지혜를 모아 시민들에게 유용한 생활밀착형 정책을 시행해 온 것처럼 내년에도 시민의 삶의 질을 향상하는 정책들을 발굴하도록 노력해 달라”며 “시민들의 좋은 의견들을 잘 들어서 정책에 반영하는 것도 연구해 보라”고 주문했다.
