[브레이크뉴스경기남부=안산 이현준기자] 안산시는 민간화장실을 개방화장실로 지정·운영하는 공모 계획을 진행한다.
시는 공중화장실 신설의 어려움을 극복하고 시민들의 위생 편의를 위해 민간 건축물 등의 화장실을 공중화장실로 개방해 누구나 이용할 수 있도록 지정하고 있다.
시는 ▲다중이용성 ▲시설관리 ▲위생관리 ▲편의성 및 복지측면 등을 고려해 80여 개소를 지정해 운영할 계획이다.
신청 기간은 다음달 1일부터 31일까지이다. 신청 대상의 소유자나 관리자가 지정신청서와 사진이 첨부된 화장실 소개서를 환경정책과 통합물관리팀으로 방문·우편 제출하거나 전자우편으로 제출하면 된다.
개방화장실로 지정되면 내년 1월 1일부터 2년간 운영된다. 지정된 개방화장실에는 전기요금·수도요금 등의 공공요금과 화장지·종이타월 등의 소모품이 지원될 예정이다. 화장실 이용과 직접적인 관련이 있는 소규모 수리에 대해서도 지원할 계획이다. 자세한 사항은 안산시 환경정책과로 문의하면 안내받을 수 있다.
조현선 환경정책과장은 “지정 이후에도 지속적 지도·점검을 통해 시민들이 쾌적하게 이용할 수 있는 환경을 조성할 예정”이라며 “시민들의 편익 증진을 위한 이번 공모에 많은 관심과 참여를 부탁드린다”라고 말했다.
