2022년 수원시와 LH(한국토지주택공사)가 체결한 ‘수원청년 맞춤형 주거지원 업무협약’에 따라 조성한 새빛 청년존은 청년들에게 안정적인 주거를 제공하기 위해 LH의 역세권 비주택리모델링 청년임대주택에 입주할 청년을 수원시가 자체 기준으로 모집해 저렴한 가격에 임대하는 사업이다.
임대 기간은 2년이고, 2회 재계약(2년 단위)할 수 있다. 임대 비용은 생계·의료·주거 급여 수급자 등은 보증금 100만 원, 월 임대료는 시중 시세의 40%(25만 3300원~27만 3350원)이다. 그 외 청년은 보증금 200만 원, 월 임대료 시중 시세 50%(30만 8860원~33만 3820원)이다.
