화성시, 제28회 노인의 날 기념식

10월 경로의 달을 맞아 화성시종합경기타운 실내체육관에서 제28회 노인의 날 기념식을 30일 개최했다.

이날 행사는 정명근 화성시장 및 배정수 화성시의회 의장, 시도의원, 시민 900여 명이 참석한 가운데 노인복지 증진 유공자 및 모범 노인 표창 수여, 지회장 기념사, 내빈 축사, 식후 행사 순으로 진행됐다.

박학순 화성시지회장은 기념사에서 “제28회 노인의 날을 축하하기 위해 참석한 모든 분께 감사드린다”며 “항상 건강한 몸과 마음으로 지역사회 발전에 이바지하고 존경받는 어른이 될 수 있도록 대한노인회가 앞장서겠다”고 말했다.

이어 정명근 화성시장은 “어르신들의 노고와 희생이 있었기에 오늘날 화성시가 103만 인구 대도시로 우뚝 설 수 있었다”며 “어르신의 값진 희생에 감사드리며 어르신들이 보다 건강하고 편안한 노후를 보내실 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
