이번 집중 단속은 가을철 수확기를 맞아 생활·영농폐기물 불법소각이 급증할 것으로 우려됨에 따라 산불을 예방하고 환경오염을 사전에 방지하기 위해 10월 31일까지 진행된다.
시는 논·밭 등의 경작지와 불법소각 상습 발생지역을 중심으로 점검반을 편성해불법소각 점검을 실시할 예정이며 점검 대상은 생활·영농폐기물 불법소각, 해충 제거를 위해 논·밭을 태우는 행위,화목보일러에 적법한 연료 외 폐기물을 함께 태우는 행위로 불법소각 적발 시강력한 행정 처분하여 불법소각 행위가 재발하지않도록 할 예정이다.
안성시 자원순환과장은 “지속적인 단속과 홍보를 통해 불법소각을 점차 근절해 나가도록 노력하겠다”며 “시민에게 올바른 쓰레기 배출을 실천하고 불법소각 근절에동참해 주시길 바란다”고 당부했다.
