광주시, 제53회 광주시민의 날 개최

[브레이크뉴스경기남부=광주 이현준기자] 광주시는 ‘제53회 광주시민의 날’ 행사를 개최했다.

지난달 28일 시청 WASBE 광장에서 열린 이날 행사에는 방세환 시장을 비롯해 국회의원, 도·시의원, 시민 등 2천100여 명이 참석한 가운데 ‘문화예술로 하나되다’라는 주제로 시의 발전을 위해 노력해온 시민들이 화합하고 즐기는 축제의 장으로 꾸며졌다.

행사는 광주시 홍보대사로 활동 중인 손범수, 이정민 아나운서의 사회로 식전 공연, 기념식, 축하공연 순으로 진행됐다.

식전 공연에는 드러머 리노와 광주시 태권도 시범단 공연이 펼쳐졌으며 기념식에는 시민대상 시상, 기념사, 축사 등이 진행됐다.

축하공연에서는 장민호, 민경훈, 브브걸, 김혜연, 우연이 등이 무대에 올라 시민들에게 즐거움을 선사했다.

이 자리에서 방 시장은 “그동안 무한한 관심과 애정을 갖고 시 발전에 기여해 오신 여러분께 감사의 인사를 드린다”며 “광주시는 천년의 역사를 지닌 유서깊은 도시로서 시민 모두가 자부심과 자긍심을 가지고 지속가능한 내일을 향해 정진하자”고 말했다.
