대통령실이 3일 김대남 전 대통령실 선임행정관 녹취록으로 제기된 한동훈 국민의힘 대표에 대한 '공격 사주 의혹'에 "녹취록을 근거로 대통령실·당 갈등을 조장하는 건 온당치 않다"고 일축했다.
대통령실은 이날 오후 언론 공지에서 "김대남 전 행정관 녹취 내용 대부분은 대통령 부부에 대한 비난 일색이고 다만 지난 전당대회 당시 당대표 관련 내용이 일부 있었을 뿐이었다"며 이같이 전했다.
그러면서 "대통령 부부가 김대남과의 친분이 전혀 없음을 밝힌다"며 "김대남과 찍은 사진은 대통령실 연말 송년회·직원 퇴임 행사 등에서 다른 직원들과 함께 찍은 것에 불과하다"며 "근거 없는 주장·무분별한 의혹 보도에 유감을 표한다"고 덧붙였다.
전날 국민의힘은 김 전 선임행정관에 대한 진상조사에 착수한 가운데 친한동훈계 인사들은 김 전 선임행정관이 당 내부 기밀 정보를 파악하고 있었던 점과 지난 8월 서울보증보험 상근감사위원으로 임명된 점 등을 들며 '공격 사주 의혹' 배후가 있을 것이라고 주장하고 있다.
