‘상호대차 서비스’는 지역 내 공공도서관은 물론 작은도서관과 대학도서관에 소장된 도서를 시민들이 원하는 가까운 도서관에서 받아볼 수 있도록 제공하는 서비스로, 지난 2007년부터 17년째 시민들의 도서 이용 편의를 도모하고 있다.
해마다 이용률이 증가하고 있으며, 현재 시흥시 도서관 대출 도서 중 약 17%가 상호대차를 통해 대출되고 있을 만큼 명실상부한 시흥시 도서관의 대표적인 정보서비스로 자리매김했다.
소래빛도서관 관계자는 “이번 차량 확대 편성을 통해 꾸준히 늘어나는 도서 제공 대상 기관에 발 빠르게 대응하고, 시민들이 신청한 도서를 신속하고 정확하게 제공하는 것을 목표로 하고 있다”라고 밝혔다.
상호대차 서비스 이용 방법은 시흥시도서관 누리집에서 확인할 수 있으며, 누리집과 스마트폰 앱(App)을 통해서도 서비스 신청이 가능하다. 서비스 이용 시에는 도서 도착 알림을 문자나 알림톡으로 받아 확인한 후 도서관을 방문해서 수령하면 된다. 더 자세한 사항은 소래빛도서관으로 문의하면 된다.
