2박 3일 간의 싱가포르 국빈 방문 일정을 마무리한 윤석열 대통령이 9일(현지시간) "앞으로 두 나라 유대가 더욱 튼튼해지길 바란다"고 밝혔다.
윤 대통령은 이날 오후 아세안(ASEAN·동남아시아국가연합) 정상회의 참석을 위한 라오스 비엔티안 출국에 앞서 X(구 트위터)에 "로렌스 웡 총리, 환대에 감사드린다"며 이같이 적었다.
그러면서 "5월에 첫 대화를 나눈 후 직접 만나 뵙게 되어 기쁘다"며 "국립 식물원에서 웡 총리 내외와 함께한 점심 식사도 즐거웠다"고 적었다.
윤 대통령은 이번 국빈 방문에서 웡 총리와 첫 정상회담을 갖고 한·싱가포르 수교 50주년이 되는 내년에 양국 관계를 '전략적 동반자 관계'로 격상키로 합의한 한편 공급망 파트너십 약정(SCPA)·LNG(액화천연가스) 협력 MOU 등을 체결했다.
