안성시, 반도체 소재 연구소 개소식

[브레이크뉴스경기남부=안성 이현준기자] 안성시는 반도체 소재 연구소 개소식을 개최했다.

지난 10일 미양면 협동단지에 소재한 머크 안성공장에서 김보라 안성시장, 김동연 경기도지사 및 머크 일렉트로닉스 카이베크만 회장 등이 참석했다.

머크 일레트로닉스는 경기도 내 시화, 반월, 포승 및 안성 사업장에 반도체 및 디스플레이 소재 제조 분야에 대하여 투자를 해왔으며, 한국에서 2027년까지 약 6억유로를 투자한다는 계획이다.

안성 머크일렉트로닉스는 1998년에 설립되어 약 120명이 근무하고 있으며, ‘22년반도체 소재 EUV린스 분야에 투자(약83억원) 이후 이번 SoD(Spin on Dielectric) 연구소를 추가 투자(약120억원) 하였다. SoD 연구소는 ‘22년 8월부터 ‘24년 10월까지 안성공장 내 약 390㎡ 부지에 조성하였고 반도체 배선 관련 전처리 공정 제품개발 및 응용 테스트의 기능을 수행할 예정이다.
