대통령실이 22일 "민주당이 헌정 사상 처음 대통령 부인에게 동행명령을 독단 처리한 건 의회 독재 민낯을 또다시 보여주는 행태"라고 비판했다.
정혜전 대통령실 대변인은 이날 오전 용산 대통령실 브리핑에서 "민주당에 불리한 증인은 철저히 제외시키고 자신들에 맞는 증인만 취사선택해 이번 국감에 김건희 여사·증인·참고인만 100여 명에 달한다"고 지적하며 이같이 밝혔다.
그러면서 "이것도 모자라 동행명령장까지 발부한 건 대통령 부인을 망신 주고 진흙탕에 몰아넣기 위한 구태 정치쇼 전형을 보여주는 것"이라며 "오직 중대 범죄 혐의로 1심 판결을 눈앞에 둔 당대표 방탄을 위해 검사 탄핵·사법부 겁박도 모자라 특검 동행명령까지 남발하는 민주당의 저열하고 폭력적 정치 행태에 강력히 유감을 표한다"고 밝혔다.
한편 대통령실 관계자는 이날 오전 용산 대통령실에서 취재진과 만나 이르면 다음 달 초부터 영부인을 보좌하는 부서인 제2부속실이 설치될 예정이라며 "11월 초쯤이면 윤곽을 드러내고 운영될 것 같다"고 밝혔다.
그러면서 "다만 전날 있었던 윤석열 대통령과 한동훈 국민의힘 대표 면담 자리에선 제2부속실 관련 언급이 나오지 않았다"고 전했다. 현재 대통령실 청사 내부에 제2부속실 설치를 위한 공사가 진행 중이다.
