윤석열 대통령이 24일 저녁 청와대 영빈관에서 한국을 국빈 방한 중인 안제이 두다 폴란드 대통령 내외를 환영하는 국빈만찬을 열고 상호 우의를 다졌다고 대통령실이 전했다.
이 자리엔 윤 대통령 부인 김건희 여사·두다 대통령 부인 아가타 콘하우저 두다 여사와 양국 정부 행정부·재계·학계 등 주요 인사 50여명도 참석했다고 대통령실은 전했다.
윤 대통령은 만찬사에서 "한·폴란드는 역사적 상처를 극복하고 단기간 경제 성장·민주화를 이뤄낸 공통점을 토대로 다양한 방면서 호혜적 협력을 발전시켜 왔다"며 "두다 대통령 외조부를 비롯 수많은 애국자들이 지켜낸 폴란드는 세계 20위권 강대국으로 발전해 우크라이나 전쟁같은 글로벌 위기에 맞서는 데 주도적 역할을 하고 있다"고 평했다.
그러면서 "한·폴란드는 국가 안보 중요성을 누구보다 잘 알기에 한국 무기가 폴란드 땅·하늘을 지키고 이달 초 구매 계약을 체결한 폴란드 드론이 한국 영토를 지켜줄 것"이라고 밝혔다.
더불어 "대한민국은 자유·인권·법치 가치를 공유하는 폴란드와 앞으로 전략적 협력을 더욱 강화할 것"이라며 "두다 대통령 방한이 앞으로의 희망차고 성숙한 35년을 위한 첫걸음이 될 것"이라고 밝혔다.

두다 대통령은 답사를 통해 "한국과의 협력은 폴란드에 좋은 일이라 확신한다"며 "비슷한 방법을 통해 비슷한 발전 길을 가고 있는 두 나라 협력 여지가 크다"고 강조했다.
또 "폴란드인에 한국은 발전을 상징하며 동양 호랑이로 통했는데 이제 한국산 무기가 수입됨으로 인해 안보 상징이 됐다"며 "한국과의 방산 협력을 통해 폴란드가 제3국에 무기를 수출할 수 있다는 희망을 갖게 됐다"고 밝혔다.
아울러 "일주일여 후 양국 수교 35주년을 맞이하는데 한국인들과 폴란드인들이 더 가까운 관계로 발전하길 강력 희망한다"고 덧붙였다.
국빈만찬에선 한국 전통·폴란드 클래식을 결합한 공연이 진행된 가운데 판소리 국가무형문화재 신영희 명창·소리꾼 유태평양의 전통 공연·피아니스트 윤연준의 쇼팽 녹턴 20번 연주 등 공연이 있었고, 마지막으로 한국 전통 가요 '진도 아리랑'이 합창됐다.
두다 대통령 내외는 "쇼팽 음악도 좋지만 한국 전통음악에 크게 매료됐다"고 언급했다. 이날 양국 영부인은 폴란드 대통령 국빈 방한 계기 배우자 프로그램으로 경복궁을 방문해 문화유산을 보며 친교 시간을 가졌다.
