브레이크뉴스 문홍철 기자= 현대자동차와 기아가 오는 11월 13일까지 역량 있는 신입 소프트웨어 개발자를 양성하고 우수한 인재를 확보하기 위한 채용 연계형 교육과정 ‘소프티어 부트캠프(Softeer Bootcamp) 5기’ 참가자를 모집한다.
소프티어는 소프트웨어(Software)와 엔지니어(Engineer)의 합성어이자 차량 소프트웨어 분야의 개척자(Frontier)라는 의미를 담은 현대차그룹 소프트웨어 인재 확보 플랫폼의 브랜드 이름이다.
현대차그룹은 이를 활용해 소프트웨어 역량 진단 코딩테스트, 온라인 교육, 사내 기술 공유회 등 다양한 활동을 진행하고 있다.
현대차·기아는 이번 모집에서 △웹(Web) 개발 △서비스 기획 △디자인 △데이터 엔지니어링 등 4개 분야 총 75명 규모로 참가자를 선발한다.
모집 대상은 2024년 8월 국내외 대학교 졸업자부터 2025년 8월 졸업 예정자로 공식 홈페이지를 통해 지원 가능하다.
현대차·기아는 별도 면접 없이 온라인 평가를 통해 기초 코딩 역량과 소프트웨어 기본 지식을 갖춘 지원자를 선발하고, 내년 1월부터 총 8주 동안 교육 프로그램을 전액 무상으로 운영한다.
참가자들은 1개월 간의 이론 교육을 수강한 이후 실전형 팀 프로젝트를 수행한다. 팀 프로젝트는 실제 현업에서 수행하는 개발 업무 프로세스를 직접 경험할 수 있도록 구성되며, 결과물은 현대차·기아 실무진이 직접 심사한다.
또한, 현대차·기아는 재직 중인 개발자들과 참가자들이 함께 만나 교류할 수 있는 밋업(meet-up) 프로그램을 운영하고, 실무 소개, 진로 상담 등을 위한 다양한 멘토링 기회도 마련한다.
교육생들에게는 고사양 노트북 및 개발자 툴 등 교육에 필요한 장비와 소프트웨어가 지급되며 우수 수료생은 별도 포상도 받을 수 있다.
현대차·기아는 소프티어 부트캠프 참가자를 대상으로 신입 채용 연계 혜택도 제공한다. 수료자에게는 별도 서류평가 과정 없이 면접전형을 통해 현대자동차 및 기아의 △소프트웨어 개발자 △서비스 기획자 △UI 디자이너 △데이터 엔지니어 등의 직무로 입사할 수 있는 기회가 주어진다.
현대차·기아 ICT담당 진은숙 부사장은 “소프티어 부트캠프는 프로젝트 중심의 교육으로 대학생들에게 실무와 유사한 협업 환경을 경험할 수 있는 기회를 제공하는 프로그램”이라며 “이론과 실무를 모두 겸비한 인재를 지속 육성해 개발자 생태계 구축에 기여하고자 한다”고 말했다.
한편, 소프트웨어 부트캠프는 현재까지 약 300명의 교육생이 프로그램을 수료했으며, 수료자는 현재 현대차·기아뿐만 아니라 다양한 기업의 소프트웨어 개발, 기획, 디자인 직군에서 근무하는 등 국내 소프트웨어 산업 발전을 이끌고 있다.
