윤석열 대통령이 8일 제주 어선 침몰사고 관련 보고를 받고 "해양경찰청 중심으로 국방부·해양수산부 등 관계부처는 현장 가용자원·인력을 총동원해 인명 수색·구조에 만전을 다하라"고 지시했다.
윤 대통령은 이날 "구조대원 안전에도 유의하라"며 이같이 지시했·다고 정혜전 대통령실 대변인이 오전 서면브리핑에서 전했다.
앞서 이날 오전 4시 34분께 제주 한림읍 비양도 북서쪽 약 24㎞ 해상에서 부산선적 129t급 선망어선 금성호가 침몰 중이란 신고가 해경에 접수됐다.
해경에 따르면 금성호 승선원은 출입항관리시스템상 27명(한국인 16명·외국인 11명)으로 신고받고 출동한 해경은 이중 15명(한국인 6명·외국인 9명)을 구조해 한림항으로 이송했다.
한국인 선원 2명은 의식이 없는 상태(심정지)로 구조돼 병원으로 이송됐으나 끝내 숨진 가운데 나머지 13명은 의식있는 상태로 전원 인근 병원으로 이송됐다.
해경은 나머지 실종자 12명을 찾기 위해 현장에서 수색을 벌이고 있는 가운데 실종자 중 10명은 한국인, 2명은 외국인으로 파악됐다.
