[브레이크뉴스=정철규 기자] 진주시는 ‘2024년 제22회 대한민국목조건축대전’ 시상식에서 ‘철도문화공원’과 ‘사봉밥집’이 준공부문 최우수상(산림청장상)과 우수상(대한건축사협회장상)을 수상했다고 20일 밝혔다.
대한민국목조건축대전은 산림청이 주최하고 (사)한국목조건축협회가 주관하는 한국 대표 건축 공모전으로, 목조건축의 우수성과 친환경목재산업을 활성화하기 위해 지난 2003년부터 개최하고 있다.
진주시의 이번 대한민국목조건축대전 수상은 지난 2021년 최우수상, 지난 2022년 대상 및 최우수상, 지난 2023년 ‘남명진취가’ 최우수상에 이은 4년 연속 수상 쾌거다.
시의 최우수상을 수상한 철도문화공원은 차량정비고(목조트러스, 조적조), 일호광장 진주역(경량목구조, 조적조), 복합커뮤니티센터(중목.경량목구조, 철근콘크리트조)로 구성이 되어 있다.
우수상을 수상한 사봉밥집은 중목구조에 경략목구조 벽식으로 구성되어 있으며, 200여 명이 식사할 수 있는 규모의 다목적 공간을 갖춘 근로자지원시설로 건립됐다.
진주 ‘철도문화공원’과 ‘사봉밥집’을 포함한 2024년 제22회 대한민국목조건축대전 수상작은 20일부터 7일간 서울에너지드림센터 1층 드림갤러리에서 관람할 수 있다.
