브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 우크라이나가 지난 8월 초 러시아로 진격해 빼앗은 쿠르스크주 영토 중 40% 이상을 잃었다는 보도가 나왔다.
24일(현지시간) 로이터통신은 우크라이나 참모본부 소식통의 말을 인용해 "쿠르스크주에서 최대 1376㎢를 통제해왔으나 이제는 800㎢ 정도에 불과하다"고 밝혔다.
우크라이나는 점령한 쿠르스크주의 영토 중 40% 이상을 빼앗겼으나, 남은 점령 영토를 유지하기 위해 필사적으로 노력하고 있다고 전해졌다.
현재 러시아와 우크라이나는 내년 1월 20일 도널드 트럼프 미국 대통령 당선인의 취임식 이전까지 평화협상에서 영향력을 얻기 위해 조금이라도 많은 영토를 서로 점령하려 하고 있다.
