[브레이크뉴스=주윤한 기자] 거창군은 올해 12월 1일부터 내년 2월 말까지 3개월간 가조온천관광지 입구에 위치한 족욕 체험장이 동절기 휴장에 들어간다고 밝혔다.
휴장 기간에 군은 족욕장 시설을 정비하고 안전 점검을 실시해 내년 방문객들에게 더욱 쾌적하고 안전한 공간을 제공할 계획이다.
올해 족욕체험장은 가조온천관광지 내 황화코스모스 꽃단지의 인기에 힘입어 10월 한 달 동안 4,000명이 방문했으며 연간 방문객은 1만3,000명을 넘어섰다.
특히 6월에는 거창 특산품과 다양한 주류를 결합한 이색 야간 개장 프로그램을 운영해 거창군민과 관광객들로부터 큰 사랑을 받았다.
내년에는 항노화힐링랜드⇒ 가조온천꽃단지⇒ 족욕체험장으로 이어지는 관광코스와 국내 최고의 pH9.7 강알칼리성 온천수의 우수성을 적극 홍보해 치유 힐링여행을 추구하는 관광객의 발길을 사로잡을 예정이다.
한편 가조온천관광지 족욕체험장은 270㎡의 규모로 동시에 100여명이 무료로 이용 가능하다.
온수탕 2곳과 원수탕 2곳으로 조성되어 있어 남녀노소 누구나 이용하기에 불편함이 없다.
내년 3월 1일부터 정식 개장되는 족욕 체험장의 운영시간은 오전 10시부터 오후 5시까지이고 매주 월요일은 정기 휴무일이다.
