충남 태안군이 27개의 해수욕장을 보유하고 있는 지역의 운영 효율화를 위해 해수욕장 여건 분석에 착수했다.

이에 따라 군은 32개의 평가지표를 개발하여 해수욕장을 A(집중지원형), B(지속관리형), C(조정검토형) 세 등급으로 나누고, 각 등급별 발전방안을 논의할 예정이다.
‘집중지원형’ 및 ‘지속관리형’ 해수욕장에 대해서는 사계절 관광 콘텐츠 발굴, 상품 개발, 특화 홍보 방안 마련 등을 추진하고, ‘조정검토형’ 해수욕장에 대해서는 단계적 해수욕장 지정 해제와 특화 해변화 방안을 검토할 방침이다.
