세종지역 청소년 지원을 위한 업무협약이 28일 있었다.
세종시는 이날 시청 세종실에서 한국청소년활동진흥원과 지역 청소년들의 성장을 지원하기 위한 협약식을 갖고 공동 노력에 나섰다.
이번 협약은 청소년 인구 비율이 전국에서 가장 높은 도시인 세종시의 특성을 살려 청소년 삶의 질 향상을 위한 교육·활동 서비스 공동 개발과 협력체계 구축에 중점을 두고 있다.
협약기관인 여성가족부 산하 공공기관 한국청소년활동진흥원은 2010년 8월 18일 설립돼 전국 청소년들을 대상으로 균형 있는 성장과 활동을 종합적으로 지원하고 있다.
협약에 따라 양 기관은 ▲청소년 대상 역량 개발 교육·활동서비스 협력체계 구축·운영 ▲청소년 활동·복지·돌봄 서비스 지원 및 연계 협력 ▲국내외 교류 등에 협력하게 된다.
그동안 시는 권역별 마련된 7곳의 청소년복합문화공간을 통해 청소년 프로그램을 제공하고 청소년정책제안대회 개최, 청소년참여위원회·청소년의회 등을 통해 청소년들의 다양한 활동을 지원해 왔다.
앞으로 시는 한국청소년활동진흥원의 전문성을 활용해 그간 제공했던 청소년 활동 지원보다 한 단계 발전된 지역 특화 청소년 활동 모델을 개발해 지속 가능한 청소년 활동 생태계를 조성할 계획이다.
최민호 시장은 “이번 협약을 통해 청소년들이 세종시에서 더 큰 꿈을 꾸고 성장할 수 있는 환경을 조성할 수 있을 것”이라며 “청소년들이 지역사회의 주역으로 성장할 수 있도록 다양한 지원을 아끼지 않겠다”고 말했다.
