‘사랑의 신라면’은 매년 연말 농심이 지역사회 소외계층 이웃들에게 온정을 나누는 활동이다. 2008년 시작해 올해로 17년째 이어지고 있으며, 그동안 농심이 나눈 라면은 총 7만 박스에 달한다.
농심이 전하는 사랑의 신라면은 임직원들이 자발적으로 모금한 ‘해피펀드’와 농심의 출연금으로 마련한 것이다. 농심은 임직원 모금액만큼 회사가 기부금을 더하는 ‘매칭 그랜트’ 방식으로 더 큰 사랑을 모아 이웃에게 전하고 있다.
농심 관계자는 “매년 겨울마다 주변 이웃에게 온정을 전하는 사랑 나눔 활동에 나서고 있다”며 “임직원들이 마음을 모아 준비한 라면이 따뜻한 겨울을 보내는 데 조금이나마 힘이 됐으면 한다”고 말했다.
한편, 농심은 지난 11월 본사 소재지인 서울 동작구 동작노인종합복지관에 김장김치 560포기를 기부한 바 있다.
