브레이크뉴스 최애리 기자= 현대백화점의 대표적인 상생경영 프로그램 ‘열정 장학금’이 올해로 10주년을 맞았다.
현대백화점은 지난 19일 서울 강남구 현대백화점 본사에서 협력사 및 도급사 임직원 자녀에게 열정 장학금을 전달했다고 20일 밝혔다. 장학금 수여식에는 정지영 현대백화점 사장을 비롯해, 장학금 수령 학생과 가족 등 약 100여 명이 참석했다.
열정 장학금은 현대백화점과 거래하는 중소 협력사와 도급사 임직원 자녀에게 장학금을 지원하는 상생 프로그램으로 2014년부터 꾸준히 진행하고 있다. 올해는 133명에게 3억원을 지원했다. 이로써 지난 11년간 총 1956명에게 총 33억원이 전달됐다.
특히, 올해 전달식에서는 10주년을 기념해 가족들과 함께 참여할 수 있는 강연 및 기프트 증정 행사를 진행했다. 현대백화점은 앞으로도 더 많은 학생들이 혜택을 받을 수 있도록 다양한 상생 지원책 마련에 힘쓸 계획이다.
정지영 현대백화점 사장은 “장학금 지원사업을 11년 동안 꾸준하게 운영하게 돼 매우 뜻깊게 생각한다”며 “앞으로도 현대백화점과 함께하는 협력사 직원들에게 실질적인 도움이 될 수 있는 상생 프로그램을 지속 확대해 나가겠다”고 말했다.
