브레이크뉴스 문홍철 기자= 기아는 혁신적인 4m 이하 콤팩트 SUV ‘시로스(Syros)’를 인도에서 세계 최초로 공개했다고 23일 밝혔다.
시로스는 다양한 첨단 사양과 스마트 커넥티비티 시스템을 비롯해 대담한 디자인, 편안한 실내 공간 등을 갖춘 도심형 SUV다. 특히, 시로스는 뒷좌석에 슬라이딩, 리클라이닝 기능과 함께 통풍 시트 등을 적용하고 첨단 운전자 보조 시스템, 듀얼 파노라마 선루프 등을 장착해 차급 최고 수준의 이동 경험을 선사한다.
차명인 시로스는 그리스 키클라데스 제도의 섬 이름을 따온 것으로, 전통과 서구 문화가 조화를 이루는 시로스 섬의 이미지를 투영해 경쟁 모델들과 차별화된 상품성을 제공하겠다는 의미를 담았다.
