세종시가 내년 1월 1일부터 고혈압·당뇨병 환자의 지속 치료율을 높이고 개인과 사회의 경제적 부담을 줄이기 위해 고혈압·당뇨병 진료비·약제비 지원을 재개한다고 26일 밝혔다.
의료비 지원 대상은 주민등록상 관내에 거주하는 65세 이상 고혈압·당뇨병 등록관리 대상자로, 2025년 기준 1960년 12월 31일 이전 출생자다.
이 사업은 전국 25개 보건소에서만 시행하고 있는 특화 사업으로 시는 출범 시기인 2012년부터 사업에 참여해 왔다.
2024년은 국가 예산 소진으로 의료비 지원이 한시적으로 중단됐었지만, 내년 1월 1일부터는 진료비·약제비 지원을 재개한다.
