윤석열 대통령 측이 27일 헌법재판소 탄핵 심판에 필요한 대리인단을 선임했다고 알렸다. 지난 14일 국회 탄핵소추안 가결·헌재 접수 후 13일 만이다.
윤 대통령 측은 이날 오전 "배보윤(64·사법연수원 20기) 변호사 등 윤 대통령 측 대리인들이 헌법재판소에 선임계를 내고 오후 2시 탄핵 심판 변론준비기일에 출석 예정"이라고 전했다.
헌법연구관 출신 배 변호사는 지난 박근혜 전 대통령 탄핵 사건 당시 헌재 공보관으로 근무한 바 있다.
또 탄핵심판 대리인단엔 대검찰청 반부패수사부장·대구고검장 등을 지낸 윤갑근(60·19기) 변호사와 윤 대통령의 서울대 법대 79학번 동기 판사 출신 배진한(64·20기) 변호사도 합류했다.
윤 변호사는 향후 탄핵심판·수사 대응 과정에서 윤 대통령 '입' 역할을 할 공보 담당을 맡는다.
'12·3 비상계엄' 선포 등 관련 윤 대통령의 내란 혐의 등 형사사건 담당 변호인단 대표엔 김홍일(68·15기) 전 방송통신위원장이 맡는 것으로 알려졌다.
윤 대통령 측이 대리인단 선임을 시작으로 이날 오후 2시 예정된 헌재 첫 변론준비기일 절차 등 본격 변론 대응에 나서는 형국이다.
