브레이크뉴스 정민우 기자= SK그룹이 7일부터 10일까지(현지 시간) 미국 라스베이거스에서 열리는 세계 최대 IT·가전 박람회 ‘CES 2025’에서 AI 혁신 기술이 가져올 미래 청사진을 제시하고, 글로벌 선도 기업들과의 파트너십 강화에 나선다.
SK는 CES 기간 중 라스베이거스 컨벤션센터(LVCC) 센트럴 홀에서 ‘혁신적인 AI 기술로 지속가능한 미래를 만든다(Innovative AI, Sustainable Tomorrow)’를 주제로 SK하이닉스, SK텔레콤, SKC, SK엔무브 등 4개 관계사가 공동 전시관을 운영한다고 6일 밝혔다.
SK는 전시관 일부를 회의공간으로 마련해 AI 관련 선도 기업들과의 비즈니스 미팅 및 소통 창구로 활용할 계획이다.
이번 전시에는 최태원 SK그룹 회장을 비롯해 곽노정 SK하이닉스 사장, 유영상 SK텔레콤 사장, 최성환 SK네트웍스 사업총괄 사장 등 주요 계열사의 최고 경영진도 방문할 계획이다.
‘AI 토털 설루션’을 강조하고 있는 최 회장과 경영진은 국내외 주요 기업관을 관람하며 첨단 AI 기술 트렌드를 점검하고, 글로벌 선도 기업들과 만나 AI 생태계 활성화를 위한 협력 강화에 나설 예정이다.
SK는 이번 전시를 통해, ‘다양한 AI 혁신을 통해 지속가능한 미래를 만들고 인류의 발전에 기여한다’는 사업 비전을 구체화해 선보인다는 계획이다.
앞서 최 회장은 지난 11월 열린 ‘SK AI 서밋(SUMMIT) 2024’에서 “SK는 반도체부터 에너지, 데이터센터의 구축 운영과 서비스의 개발까지 가능한 전세계에서 흔치 않은 기업”이라며 “SK와 파트너들의 다양한 설루션을 묶어 AI 보틀넥(병목)을 해결하고 좀 더 좋은 AI가 우리 생활에 빨리 올 수 있도록, 글로벌 AI 혁신을 가속화하는데 기여하겠다”는 비전을 제시한 바 있다.
‘AI 사업 비전의 구체화’라는 취지 아래, 이번 SK 전시관은 △AI DC(데이터센터) △AI 서비스 △AI Ecosystem 등으로 구성, 관람객들이 실제 다양한 AI 서비스를 체험할 수 있도록 시연 중심으로 꾸며질 예정이다.
관람객들은 SK 전시관 입구에 마련된 ‘혁신의 문(Innovation Gate)’을 통과해 전시관으로 입장하게 된다. ‘혁신의 문’을 장식하는 21개 대형 LED 화면을 통해 SK가 보유한 AI 기술/서비스와 이를 통해 달라질 미래 모습을 영상으로 접할 수 있다.
‘혁신의 문’을 지나면 ‘AI DC(AI 데이터센터)’ 테마로 구성된 전시 구역이 등장한다. SK AI 데이터센터의 역동적 데이터 흐름을 표현한 6m 높이의 대형 LED 기둥을 중심으로 SK가 보유한 AI DC 설루션(에너지·AI·운영·보안) 등이 소개된다. SK는 전시를 통해 데이터센터를 구성하는 핵심 노하우인 에너지 설루션, HBM3E 중심의 AI 반도체, 클라우드 서비스 등을 소개할 예정이다.
‘AI 서비스’ 테마의 전시 구역에서는 GPAA(글로벌 퍼스널 AI 에이전트)부터 AI 기반의 광고 제작 설루션(GenAd), 미디어 가공 및 콘텐츠 품질향상 플랫폼(AI 미디어 스튜디오) 등 AI 기반 기술/서비스 콘텐츠들이 공개된다. 특히, SK텔레콤이 북미 시장을 타깃으로 올해 출시를 준비 중인 AI 에이전트 ‘에스터(Aster)’가 현장 시연되며, 구체적인 서비스 계획도 발표될 예정이다.
‘AI Ecosystem’ 전시 구역에서는 SK와 함께 AI 생태계를 구축하고 있는 글로벌 파트너사 5곳(가우스랩스, 람다, 앤트로픽, 퍼플렉시티, 펭귄솔루션스)의 AI 설루션과 서비스 등이 소개된다.
각 파트너사들의 독보적인 기술과 노하우를 기반으로 현재 SK와 진행중인 다양한 협업 프로젝트들도 구체적인 시연과 함께 공개될 예정이다. 전시장 출구에 설치된 ‘지속가능한 나무(Sustainable Tree)’라는 이름의 대형 LED 조형물은 이번 전시의 주제를 미디어 아트 형태로 선보이게 된다.
SK 관계자는 “이번 CES 전시를 통해, AI 기술이 일상 속으로 들어와 전방위적으로 활용되는 모습과 무궁무진한 성장 가능성을 보여주고자 했다”며 “AI 혁신을 위해서는 다양한 플레이어(Player)들과의 협력이 필수적인만큼 앞으로도 글로벌 파트너십을 강화할 수 있는 다양한 기회들을 마련할 것이다”고 말했다.
