논산시, 저탄소 쌀 인증 획득…지속 가능한 농업 실천 앞장

논산시 친환경농법연구회(회장 신두철)가 한국농업기술진흥원으로부터 저탄소 쌀 인증을 획득했다고 13일 밝혔다. 이는 지속 가능한 농업과 기후변화 대응을 목표로 한 저탄소 농업 실천의 성과로 평가된다.

저탄소 농산물 인증제도는 친환경 인증(유기농, 무농약) 또는 우수농산물(GAP) 인증을 받은 농산물 중에서 저탄소 농업기술을 적용해 생산 과정에서 온실가스 배출량을 평균보다 낮춘 농산물에 부여되는 국가 공인 인증이다. 이번 인증은 서류 심사와 농업인 인터뷰, 현장 심사 등 다단계 절차를 거쳐 이루어졌으며, 인증 유효 기간은 2년이다.
